    Yeah and I think they just miss the point of sending horror up. Scream works because its made by someone whose a fan of the genre. The Scary movie sequels do seem to get worse because their not even spoofing horror anymore.

    Part my love for it is through nostalgia. I was a teen when it first came out and remember seeing it a couple of times at the cinema and just getting a real buzz both times. Watched it countless times on VHS too and have re-watched a good few more times on TV since. It still holds up well...

    Nah disagree. It has a very good lead and a strong supporting cast. Plus the horror moments it does have are pretty effective. The opening scene is fantastic. Plus you say being meta like its a bad thing. It took being meta to a whole new level.

    A diverse triple threat. Each has some merit. But Scream stands out the most.
