Well, those references (And plenty of Pat's boys) are fairly common in shoots. But hearing someone say bad things about Patterson? That's about as rare as someone saying something positive about Johnny Ace.

I believe he said he thought it was going to kill his career. I can't say that's too off the wall of a thought though. What did surprise me was how often Brutus threw Pat Patterson under the bus. I've never seen a shoot where someone said so many bad things about Patterson.

Ah, that was BS too? The fact that I haven't heard any news about Butch since 1996 made it seem plausible. Luke at least had worked a little ROH a few years back.

So, he came in, worked the PPV and that's it. It's not like the Blue Knight was a reoccurring character or anything, so it's not a sign of...
  7. Opinions on Wrestling Shoots.

Valentine hardly fizzled out. The guy was working in the WWE for nearly nine years during one of their biggest peaks. Not to mention McMahon gave Valentine his big push right as the WWE was breaking out of New York. After being one of the bigger WWE stars of the 80's, Valentine saw a depush in...
  8. Opinions on Wrestling Shoots.

The only thing is Valentine wasn't fired due to Rhythm and Blues failing. In fact, once Honky was forced to either become a commentator or be let go, Valentine received a nice little midcard babyface push. Valentine's push simply didn't work out because he wasn't a very good babyface. So after...
