Raw Live Raw discussion thread, January 1st 2024: Day 1 - Seth Rollins defends the WWE World Heavyweight title

It does hit way differently this way. So long as they aren't worried about the rating or needing to move extra tickets, I hope they continue doing the surprises.

https://twitter.com/wrestlenomics/status/1742676815972348243 "WWE Raw last night on USA Network: 1,751,000 viewers P18-49 rating: 0.60 According to a Nielsen source" No Football or just good hype surrounding the show?

https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/18xqmau/this_is_where_becky_lynch_got_busted_open_on_raw/ Supposedly it was this stray boot as she was being dumped over. I just assumed it was that uppercut punch at the end.

Personally I thought it was a capsule or something similar just so they could link it back to the altercation from 5 years ago.

Concussions are concussions, i'm 99% sure they're pulling the match especially in this day and age. Now if you're talking a tag team match on the other hand, I think they try and get said person out of the ring and continue the match while they evaluate them.

How about prioritising the well being of an injured dude instead of worrying about a throwaway tag match on Raw.

I mean I don't know the protocols for concussion and stuff but you probably don't want to be moving the guy until you've gone over shit and given he was still in the ring when they called it off, working around him would have been dangerous and disrespectful af.

The ending came off really weird on TV aswell because of the way they operate the cameras to not show the injury obviously. For a second it looked like it was about to continue because Kaiser tagged Vinci but then the bell rung. Safety first though, it's all that matters.

After the on-off defenses of 2023, Roman defending back to back to back against Randy, Rock & Cody would be a huge chance of pace :lol

Raw Live Raw discussion thread, January 1st 2024: Day 1 - Seth Rollins defends the WWE World Heavyweight title

It happening at Elimination Chamber would be perfect for all parties if it went the way we all assume it would go. Cody misses out on winning the Rumble ala HBK/Taker and getting back to Roman at WrestleMania but ends up winning the Chamber. Rock loses to Roman truly putting him over as...

That pop when Rock mentioned about sitting at head of the table :DEAD: Finally I can start getting into the idea of the two of them facing off now instead of the yearly, will it or won't it happen. If these mad bastards really run this match at Elimination Chamber aswell like speculated...

Better to be safe than sorry, good to see him walking back though with the ref. The head bounce on the mat was rough.
