    Me too honestly, I'd thought it was a forced retirement through most of his WWE run until they released that documentary on him where he told the story in dept

    Nah he actually was able to have an entire retirement tour on his own. He retired because WWE wouldn't sign him without surgery on something he'd been living with and he couldn't afford surgery so he didn't see a point in continuing to kill himself on the indies but it was still his own choice...
