    I don't think so, but i would argue it was at the very least considered extremely heavy for the time. Personally, when it comes to rock that influenced metal, I usually list Deep Purple as the proto-metal band. Like obviously Sabbath n the likes were actual metal, but Deep Purple's MachineHead...

    Yeah I def. would not qualify Sex Pistols as "talented" in the technical form of the word if you know what I mean. I more meant in the general heavyness of their sound in the earlier days. Like I said to Barry, I would still consider them way more dirty punk pioneers than metal.

    On a classic solo roll. Posted this in the main chat a while back before. But this is possibly the best Marty Friedman solo ever for Megadeth for me. The actual FEELS in it are AMAZING. solo starts around 3:10 edit: I could listen to that solo all day, just so godamn fucking perfect
