    I think the biggest issue with Season of the Witch was that Halloweeen 2 happened first. I imagine if Season of the Witch happened before H2, the series probably would have been more faithful to the original concept.

    Ew no lol, Resurrection is terrible. At least Season of the Witch was creative and true to Carpenter's original vision for the series.

    I'll brook no Halloween III disrespect around here! It's a... pretty alright movie, maybe not a masterpiece, but perfectly fine.

    Watched The Changeling today, and god damn is it a great movie, peak George C. Scott as usual.

    Yeah but the critical and commercial abhorrence of The Thing I think crushed Carpenter for a while, which may explain why he thinks Christine was his worst. It was the movie immediately following The Thing and he probably felt he played way too safe with it.

    It's even worse considering for a long time The Thing was the one he was most proud of and yet it was the most commercially panned of them all.
