Btw, since we're talking about old wrestling history, there's one man I think we all oughta respect and vote into the Hall of Fame for his legitimate athletics and fortitude. This man never sold for anyone and only lost two matches out of 300+, and one of them was only because that dastardly...

It is a book yeah, but I'm sure someone has turned it into an audiobook at some point.

I think the best early wrestling documentary is actually "Fall Guys" by Marcus Griffin. It goes into heavy detail on the workings of wrestling from the 1930s and 40s. He got a lot of his information from Jack Pfefer, the man who exposed wrestling as a work to the New York grand jury in the mid-30s.

Well if we're going OGs, we gotta have Toots Mondt and Strangler Lewis in there too. Without them we don't have modern pro wrestling.

I am once again gonna campaign for Antonio Inoko and Giant Baba, the godfathers of modern Puro.

Rikidozan should probably go in earlier but alas there's like zero footage of it. While we're at it, Lou Thesz and Verne Gagne should also have some consideration for being the most popular and best wrestlers from the 50s and 60s.

Dusty Rhodes Andre the Giant Antonio Inoki Giant Baba Rikidozan Buddy Rogers Gorgeous George Tiger Mask (Satoru Sayama) Lou Thesz Because I'm an asshole and like to be a historian. Lots of these guys are important to the business in some fashion but doubtful they'll ever get in.

I'm going to push hard for Antonio Inoki and Bruno Sammartino this year.

She was absolutely instrumental in the success of that territory before Jerry split it off from Nick Gulas in the 70's

Well like I said, Sputnik forced desegregation in the South and one time was arrested for eating at a Colored Only diner in Memphis at a time where that was incredibly taboo. Christine Jarrett ran the Memphis territory, brought in guys like Lawler, Cornette, etc. into the business, and was...

I personally don't think it devalues their induction at all when considering there's more wrestlers from before we were born that were popular than there are now. Off the top of my head, while the obvious ones would go in the first few years, we'd eventually get into the nitty gritty of some...

In the 90's, not really, unless you say like a few like the New Age Outlaws, Harlem Heat, and Owen & Bulldog. Also Pat & Stevens were from the 70's.

Or it might be a fact they were better teams than the Dudleys. Don't tell me the Dudleys were better than the fucking Hart Foundation.

I'd put several teams over the Dudleys. Midnight Express, Rock & Roll, The Brainbusters, Hart Foundation, Road Warriors, Demolition, Pat Patterson & Ray Stevens. :draper2
