    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

No, not a purist... it's why I even ask questions. I just know quite a bit, have been extremely into the sport since I was little. But you're talking about entertainment companies... that rely on MATCHES to have a rating to sell tickets. You want people to enjoy those matches, so give the people...

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

It's not a promoter telling Joe, "you can't improvise a few moves into a match when you know it needs a spark". You're seriously telling me it can't be Joe's decision to just become a bit more dependent on 9 moves/holds as opposed to wrestling all out and trying to get a 5* match?

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

I'm not saying I don't like him now. I just don't understand the hype behind Joe in TNA at this point in his career with the company. They've let him do the shit before, but because he's moved into the Heavyweight division, he's got to be held back? If you've got a guy who can be that talented...

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

That's one move he doesn't use anymore that he shouldn't be restricted from. Why is the face-wash a heel move? He could still use that. Why can't he do his running senton splash anymore? Surely on a bigger guy, the move wouldn't be as devastating? Why doesn't Joe do bulldogs like he used to do...

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

How could the guy NOT be allowed to use a snapmare, slap and kick? You mean to tell me that they tell Joe to tone it down so he can't have an exciting match, but allow Shelley to do almost whatever he wants so they can have an exciting match? That's a bullshit argument if I've ever heard one.

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

Dude, I'm 21 myself... born July 11, 1987. I've been watching wrestling since I was 2 years old. I've seen Joe have matches against ECW Legends, TNA vets, "new" WWE talent. I've seen Joe in Japan in Tag Team matches, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting his ability here... I'm doubting his...

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

At the Samoan drop comment... yes. You shouldn't dawn "Samoa" in your persona/gimmick if you're not going to do a Samoan drop. It's like claiming you were trained in Stu Hart's dungeon and don't use a snap suplex. That's a part of being from the Isle of Samoa. (Yes, I am just being an asshole)...

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

I seriously can't recall seeing more than maybe 10 moves out of him. I don't believe I've ever truly see him do a basic scoop slam or vertical suplex. Rarely any ground moves, maybe you can find a kick to the back occasionally. I just don't know what the big deal about this fat piece of shit is...

    Samoa Joe Is Overrated

Sorry if this topic already exists... Obviously the guy has a great intensity to him, and his athleticism for his size is cool... but what the hell does Samoa Joe actually provide? The guy sucked ass when he wrestled in WWE against Essa Rios. He's always been lackluster as far as moves...
