He’s been mentioning bringing back the winged eagle a lot, including on pat McAfee but I feel like this social media post especially where it has the original Eagle belt next to the current belt really means that he’s not just teasing at this point he’s gonna debut the thing tonight.
Miz beautifully explaining why it had to be taker that took out the rock last night. Because he over the years has been the locker room leader, and he’s the one that gives the stamp of approval, for whoever is going to become the new face of the WWE.
We were talking about this during the show as well, but this is another piece of brilliant storytelling that just absolutely makes us an all-time classic.
The vernacular just becomes whatever became widely accepted. It’s been the winged eagle for as long as I can remember and nobody’s gonna change it. And yes I also thought it was funny.
What’s interesting is the attitude Era Belt also has an eagle on it and it’s been affectively dubbed the big...
I think Hunter just see things a little bit differently. Where as Drew isn’t going to leave mania with the belt you can give him that moment because he earned it and then let him go.
Honestly, I think it’ll probably wind up looking more like the attitude era eagle. Where you have like some form of the wwe logo an Eagle and maybe a little bit of a globe on there somewhere maybe.
Absolutely phenomenal. Putting on a banger of an opener to set the stage for night 2. Put Drew over. Created magic with Cody, Rock and Roman. Probably the best tag team match in mania history. And created a perfect finish for Cody to ascend his mountain. I love Seth.
I don’t think Cody is ever going to turn heel again, and he really shouldn’t. Unlike Cena, who the fans actually turned on when he was like just starting his run, Cody was an organically pushed star and he’s legitimately a babyface to the fans.
