    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

this is a bit of a strange period for them for sure - weird time for the pure title for a bit too but it gets a lot better later on.

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

didn't realize this match watch coming up on a year now

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

yeh the afternoon slot is pretty neutral to me, it would have been annoying if I had errands to run mb but for my lifestyle it was fine. I wouldn't have them all at that time though but saturday > sunday at least

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

agree to disagree indeed, like i said, hardcores really dont care about nxt for the most part as far as I've observed. WWE hardcores watch nxt and I see that as a seperate market. If AEW and ROH and two ppvs on the same night, or if they did an roh ppv and free AEW botb on the same day, maybe...

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

I think had the spent more time building and marketing the event and card it would have done a lot better. if even myself was kinda meh after insta buying the other 2, there was a bit of any issue there. and yet it still did really well, just could have done even better with a bit more effort

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

Like anecdotally, I'm a hardcore, and I couldn't give two shits about the nxt ppv being on nor did it influence my decision to buy an roh ppv.

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

the ppl who are willing to pay 40 are gonna pay it regardless of nxt being on. I also think you may be over hyping that nxt ppv for hardcores, this isnt takeover era anymore so its not like the ppl who want to see the best indie guys are going to suddenly care about two gimmick match ppvs (that...

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

I think the hardcores were probably thrilled to watch 2 ppvs in a row

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

yup they both p much stayed the same outside small increments for big things happening. aew went up a bit more but it also had punk etc come in while nxt went the other way until the reboot. there's some overlap, but not much. Though I will say that from personal experience most of the aew fans...

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

but ya, im rambling on but my point is I think the card was more a factor than the timeslot

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

I don't think there's that much overlap between aewroh and wwenxt as people think tbh

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

yeah exactly. I feel if they had announced that a month out prob get like mb 5k more buys idk. it was very rushely put together and not much heat between a lot of the rematches. it was a very oddly built up ppv but with what was going on with TK's familly wtv I get it
  13. Canadian Dragon

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

cuz like, ngl I was gonna pirate the ppv before dynamite ended that week lol
  14. Canadian Dragon

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

Yeah like it was a lot of roh guys on tv but no roh ppv hyping. they also announced ftr briscoes like 3 days away which was a bit questionable lol
  15. Canadian Dragon

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

and to add, it's still the best Final Battle ppvs numbers ROH has ever done so I think within that context I'd say that's a success. it's gonna be a slow growth
  16. Canadian Dragon

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

idk i kind of disagree, this seems like really good numbers for the timeslot. I feel it was a much less loaded and promoted card than DBD (i dont care if tk called final battle the marquee show of the year, it wasn't quite as hype as the previous ppv in my super cool opinion).

    ROH Final Battle (2022) - December 10, 2022

I had a fantasy booking epiphany. You can kind of do a homage to joe kabashi but with Joe Takeshita with Take being the guy to dethrone him (in roh or both idk)
