    Rob Van Dam was never going to be a surprise Rumble entrant :lmao A Money in the Bank return would be cool, likely as a surprise entrant. That's if he does re-sign, because as somebody previously posted, he left because of the hectic schedule and he probably won't abide by WWE's Wellness Policy.

    Any well known name that returns gets a good pop, whether they left as a heel or as a face. If RVD suddenly appearaed on WWE television, everybody would cheer for him, but it doesn't change the fact that ultimately nobody will be interested after he has been back for a few weeks. Like I said...

    How would Rob Van Dam returning boost ratings? If they hype his return, then yeah, I see the ratings going up the slightest of margins, but after that nobody will overly care. He'll have a few matches, eventually get himself into a feud, then he'll become like any other superstar on the roster...
