    This is about TV series not movies, but yeah it's more likely for a movie ending to ruin a movie since you're talking about a solid and important chunk of a 2 hour or whatever film as opposed to a show that's been on and beloved for years before it ended.

    Really? Wow. I could never feel that way about it. That ending can never take away the enjoyment I got from all the episodes before it.

    In a way, yes. In another way, no. Like Brandon said, HIMYM basically threw everything they did out the window with their finale, so that's kind of spoiling it in that sense but can a bad ending ruin a series for an individual? Can an ending be so bad it takes away everything they loved about...

    How does nostalgia not play a part in what song you like more though, especially in this case? It's TV themes so obviously if you grew up with a theme song and loved that theme song and the TV show it's probably going to win over something you never watched and a song you've barely heard.
