    Insomnia fucking sucks. Ever since I stopped drinking, every night I've been having problems sleeping. I've tried taking 30mg of melatonin two hours before I go to bed and it didn't work. I hate that this is happening to me.

    I have and still that problem with Caffeine/Soda especially at night. You're brain and body wants it to the point you body feels off not having it even for a couple of days. I have had anxiety attacks a Year or so back because I didn't have Dew in my system it was a tough to control. Keep fighting through it Doom once you start to realize I don't need it tonight or tomorrow and I'm good you're ability to sleep without it will be better.

    I suffer from insomnia due to having serious anxiety issues and was out for the count on 30mg off Mitrazapine a day. It hasn't took it away as fully but it helps me sleep for 6 hours a day which the body needs to de-stress and let the brain relax . I'd ask your doctor about them as it's also an antidepressant Which helps also. Hope you get some sleep as I know what it's like. Good luck man.

    Please tell me they prescribed you gabapentin. If not, you should ask for it. It works as a mood stabilizer AND it reduces alcohol cravings. Since I have been taking it, I have been able to go from a heavy drinker to only maybe drinking once or twice a month. It has helped considerably

    Long term use of gabapentin can cause harm to the brain though in due time if u use it for longer than a couple years. My Fiancee's Doctor is wanting to wean him off of his because he's been taking it for about 4-5 years

    Eh, gabapentin, like any medication can have effects like that. It is generally different for each person. It has had positive results in rehab in decreasing alcohol cravings. If you have to choose between being an alcoholic and gabapentin side effects, the gabapentin is much safer. Remember I am a cognitive psychologist, I study how the brain works and one part is how medication affects your brain. I think gabapentin has been getting an unfair wrap.

    I have been on gabapentin for nearly 20 years. 1800 mgs a day. I don't like to boast but I have a pretty sharp mine and I think most people would agree.

    But any medication can have long term effects on your brain. Even tylenol can. You have to weigh which is worse.

    Yes. My username is indeed based on the DOOM games. I was 10 years old when I first played the game and I thought it was one of the most badass games ever. I got the 2016 game for my XBOX ONE, which I need to start playing it again since I got back into gaming.

    Today's been very off for me. I'm sick, I can't get my mind straight on work and it's pissing me off. I seriously hope it gets better.
