Have you took it the vet?

Tried to take him to the vet this morning but everywhere is closed for the weekend. He drinks water fine but anything else it's not happening, which is completely the opposite of how he used to be. He is old, 14 and 1/2. So the overall feeling is that this is most likely it..

Try feeding him boiled plain chicken and plain white rice. My dog did the same thing, and we took them to the vet, I forgot what they said was the problem, but they told us to feed them that for a couple of days and see what happens and if she ate it then slowly add their regular dog food back.

So I decided to get some chicken broth first to slowly try to ease him in to eating again since he basically went over 3 days without anything but water. He drank most of that up. If that goes well then ill try doing what was suggested.

That is a good sign. Just means something is wrong with his stomach it seems like

This morning he was given two chopped up eggs and he ate all of it without hesitation. Decided to try a little dry dog food at lunch... He resisted for a minute but then turned back to the bowl right as I was going to walk away and ate that. Then ate more later on. Hasn't thrown any of it up. He is showing more energy now. Even rolled over to get a belly rub. lol So I guess it was some sort of stomach sickness after all.

Thanks for the suggestion. It got me to want to look up what all I could try feeding him.
