Maybe, Maybe not. However, if I were a betting man, odds say he will win his last match. Another factor in his favor: Kurt Angle's last match.

When Kurt faced Baron Corbin and lost, fans were seriously upset. Both because of who Kurt's last opponent was, AND that he lost.

I can guarantee you that Cena has a say as to how that match will go. Also, Cena said "the tourney would be open to wrestlers both inside and outside of WWE" he also promised "surprises" neither of which has materialized.

Thus, I have no confidence that WWE (and Cena) will allow him to bow out of his career with a loss.

Not sure what you were honestly expecting with the whole "wrestlers inside and outside of WWE" thing but if you honestly thought they were gonna bring in guys like Copeland and Jericho, both of which are still under AEW contract, and have them go over your contracted talent, then your expectations were WAY too high.

Plus Nemeth and Cardona were brought in, who honestly expected to see the Zack Ryder character in 2025? Not many.

Women's Wargames: Have been better one's but still watchable.

Cena vs Dom: Pretty much what I was expecting but still fun imo.

Stephanie vs Nikki: No chance Nikki won but thought it was her best match since returning.

Men's Wargames: A little better than the women's this year plus right team won.

I was expecting neither Copeland nor Jericho. I was aware of their status, so it was not that. I mean they could have included Hendry or someone else along with Cardona and Nemeth. Also, Cardona would have been a nice choice for a finalist over "Been there, Done that" Jey Uso.

Still, I remain steadfast in my belief that the tournament has been absolutely underwhelming and disappointing. I mean, The Miz loses, and is then re-inserted back in? What is this, Survivor Series '98? lol

I agree the Miz decision was a bit lacking. However it is unknown what decision they had. Sheamus was not medically cleared after wrestling on Monday, and they needed someone for that Friday since the episode was taped a week in advance. Putting a surprise appearance on a taped show ruins the purpose of a surprise.

Also when you consider that this person was losing regardless don't know if they want WWE Superstar Joe Hendry to be brought in just to lose. Ryder/Ziggler can eat a loss as it doesn't affect WWE's booking of them... since they aren't booking them.

Cena definitely wants to lose his last match lol
Why would a superstar, Future Hall of Famer like Cena LOSE his final match? I smell a "Nexus" style decision. It would be so "WWE" of, well WWE, to let this happen. I can see it on the horizon.

Because the whole point of a retirement match is to put someone over on the way out. People would be complaining had he beaten Gunther or LA Knight and said that he buried them. Plus when Gunther wins, his character can now claim he retired 2 legends this year to mega heat.
