AEW is set to release its book “All Elite: The Inside Story of All Elite Wrestling” this month. Ever since the company announced that it would be releasing the book to detail its journey, there have been speculations that the Tony Khan-led promotion may omit Cody Rhodes and CM Punk from the book and “rewrite history.”

However, Fightful Select is now reporting that that doesn’t seem to be the case. The website claims to have accessed an early copy of the book, revealing that The American Nightmare has been extensively covered, with him being mentioned “less than 15 minutes” throughout the book.

According to the report, Cody has been featured in several different sections of the book, such as All In, Double or Nothing, and Dynamite, and his importance to the TNT Championship and his feuds with Wardlow, MJF, Chris Jericho, and others have also been covered in detail.

The report also cited a quote from Excalibur following Rhodes’ departure from AEW. The 45-year-old reportedly said that the company had to figure out its identity in the absence of The American Nightmare. That said, the specifics around his departure in 2022 haven’t been discussed.

Regarding CM Punk, Fightful reports that The Best in the World has been covered “no less than half a dozen times” in the book. However, Brawl In and Brawl Out, the two major incidents that shaped AEW’s backstage culture and led to Punk’s exit in 2023, have not been covered.

The report also cited a source within AEW who claimed that every person who has played a significant role in shaping the company has been covered in the book. That said, Punk and Cody were reportedly interviewed for the book.

I wouldn't have been surprised if they cut out Punk stuff for legal issues or whatnot but I would have been surprised if Cody was cut. They kept him in the video game and everything, I don't think they shy away from his influence and his WWE success does nothing but help it tbh

Tbf only place I saw saying they were cut was ringside news which is not a credible source at all. Cody deffo deserves to be mentioned even if WWE and him try to rewrite history themselves about his role in starting AEW.
