Post-Mania News & Notes

Future Direction of the Company

It has been revealed that the incoming episode of the Night After Mania episode of Monday Night RAW. That several huge revelations in regards to the future direction

WWE Without a “Beast Incarnate”?

The now former WWE Universal Champion, that being the “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar. Has decided to take yet another extended departure from the company for the foreseeable future. All that has been confirmed by the company is that Lesnar is not being included with any future plans post-mania at this point in time.

Vince McMahon Takes a Hands-Off Approach
In a truly shocking revelation, it has been announced that going forward. Vincent Kennedy McMahon aka the Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment has decided to take a step back from the everyday running of the company. With both of his children that being Shane and Stephanie McMahon will be taking up the reigns. In a joint Chairman and Chairwoman position.

The Glamazon Fly’s Again
As seen at the WrestleMania 35 pay per view event a WWE Hall of Famer made her return to the ring. That being the “Glamazon” Beth Phoenix who reformed the fan favourite tag team aka the Divas of Doom with Natalya Neidhart. To take part in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship four-way match at the event. Despite coming up short in their attempt to claim the gold, it has been revealed that Phoenix will be around long term.

Saudi Deal Comes to a Sudden End
The most shocking piece of post-mania news coming to light is that a business relationship has come to an abrupt and sudden conclusion. World Wrestling Entertainment has bowed to increased levels of pressure from its other sponsors to bring it’s deal with the Saudi Arabia government. To a sudden and abrupt end due to the negative response the deal had been attracting.

A Trio of Deals Expire
A trio of contracts have reached their expiration dates and both the company and the superstars attached to the deals failed to come to a new agreement. First up is former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose, following that veteran superstar Goldust has also left the company. Third and final superstar who has departed the company is Lars Sullivan. While the departures of Ambrose and Goldust there is obvious regret from the company, while the case of Sullivan is a blessing come true. As it has been reported that Sullivan was not winning anyone over in the ring or backstage.

Universal Championship
Seth Rollins entered the Elimination Chamber at the 2019 edtition of the titular pay per view event and would outlast five men to become the Number One Contender to the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. Which was at the time of the event around the waist of the “Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar©. When it was all said and done not only did Rollins walk out as the victor of the match but more importantly, he walked out as the new champion.

After the news broke that the now former champion, that being Lesnar was leaving the company. This left the newly crowned champion without a clear first challenger to his reign as Universal Champion. Rollins ended up finding himself as the target of a man he knew all too well, with that man being the “Modern day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal. Rollins saw right through this attempt and jumping to the head of the queue and stated that he had no problem beating Mahal again. Just like he did when he became the first ever and inaugural NXT Champion.

WWE Championship
The frontman of the fan favorite group the New Day, that being Kofi Kinston entered the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble match at the dreaded number one spot. He his New Day stablemates those being the pair of Big E and Xavier Woods would in fact make up the first three entranted into the men's rumble match. Kingston has always been a favorite to win the Royal Rumble, he even had a spot named after him, otherwise known as the "Kofi Spot" but year after year he would fail to win the match.

This would all change come the conclusion of the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble match, as he would defy all of the odss and make it to the final two men inside the squared circle. On the other side of the ring was a man he knew very well indeed that being the man who drew the 30th entry into the match in the form of Randy Orton. Despite all the odds being against him it would be Kingston who got the better of his rival to be crowned the winner of the match. In the weeks following the event, Kingston would waste very little time in revealing his choice for WrestleMania 35, the WWE Championship.

Meanwhile Daniel Bryan(c) entered the new year has the reigning and defending WWE Champion and would carve his own road to WrestleMania 35. First he defended the gold against AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble pay per view then followed this up by entering the Elimination Chamber at the titular event. Putting the WWE Championship on the line in the brutal match type and managed to keep his clutch on the title by winning the match. Setting up a one on one men's division match between him and Kingston at WrestleMania 35 for the WWE Championship. Which saw Kingston make history to win the gold at the show of shows, the former champion that being Bryan would cash in his rematch for the gold at MITB.
