Yeah a little bait there I would say I know what I did wrong and did not do wrong either way I've grown from that. I could bitch and moan about alot of things WC did to me or my Account as some people know and I keep to myself but it's the past and this is the present. This is my home now and has been for a long time.

OWMF started as WMF, which stood for Wrestling Media Forums based on it's original website wrestlingmedia.ru (original owner was a Russian prick named KNEO). KNEO randomly added the O which stood for Outstanding (starting to realize he may have actually been Putin) but then shut the forum down with a RETURNING IN 2006 thing (it never returned) and so someone brought back OWMF as a different forum. It briefly merged with another forum called I think TWA but then the 2 owners had a falling out and OWMF came back. The owner, whose name was Missionary Pyro or Mish, decided not to bring it back after it was hacked.
I have to be honest, I just found this forum and this post, realizing it's from July 2025. I remember WMF/OWMF well. When I was 16, back in 2007, I was starting to get into website development. I have an old hard drive that has dozens of half started or barely started websites and forums.

One of them was my extremely failed attempt at a rebirth of OWMF after one of the hacks. I never really got anywhere with it, but when I found these old logos, I had to search and see if anybody else actually remembered these. Holy memory lane!

I remembered another one I was on

5Star Forums. Was a fun neat little place. Had one of the members who was an indie wrestler, don't think he ever made it big big. But he had an internet radio show. So that was cool. I called into it a few times.

You remember someone named Tray Blaylock? Or maybe it was Trey, can't remember. Also there was this filmmaker on there named Joe, or Joey. Only two members I remember

Nope don't ring a bell. It's funny because there was actually a dude who became an indie wrestler in Ontario but he became a huge indie wrestling gatekeeper.

Reading back on this thread kinda makes me sad lol forums are a great thing for those of us who don’t really have anyone to talk to about particular things, like wrestling for example, almost everyone I know has long “grown out of it” and stopped watching years and years ago so to go online and find people who still watch it is nice. I was also on REFan but the forum section was scrapped some time ago due to inactivity and All Metal Forums which is also no longer in existence.

I think it was the same one I used here, "theundertaker." At least I think that was the case, based on some of the signature graphics I came across as well.

While we're talking about old school wrestling boards, was anybody ever a part of "DMX"? It was more of a role playing create your own character and promos type of place, but I remember doing some avatar graphics for them back in the day too. I really wish I could remember the damn URL to it.

I've been genuinely curious about this, as it's been years since I've been part of any forum online. Who here, if anyone, was on any of the classic forums back in the day when it was still a big deal? This is one of the few I've seen still around with the most users and honestly, I had no idea it was still a thing before I started looking for one.

I joined my first forum (Obsessed With Wrestling) back in 2007. Shortly after, I was on Online World of Wrestling before it merged with the other OWW. Online World of Wrestling took over and Obsessed still tried to keep the original forum going, but it died pretty quickly. Several users, including myself, made our own smaller forums, and it was honestly like one big family tree spreading branches. But man, what a fun time to be a wrestling fan. I was on several, but honestly I don't remember many of the names. OWW was my home. I eventually started doing OWW Radio with Nick Anthony (you can still find some of our interviews if you look hard enough) and that eventually morphed into other avenues as well.

Were you on any of the old forums back in the day?

I started on OWW. I was a dumbass idiot who didn't know half of what he was doing and in many ways have not improved in any capacity, but hey, first wrestling community I joined, could've been worse. Migrated from a few e-feds, to WC - pour one out of the homies - then occasionally popping up here, like, once a month or so.

Matter of fact I think I very vaguely remember your username, or something similar to such. I knew of the radio, but I don't recall whether we interacted much, to be entirely honest. Still, good to find a flicker of a memory from ye olden days.
