I used to like coming to this forum but I'm starting to hate every time I turn around and see this WWE is the antichrist bullshit and it's based out of anti-corporate nonsense that has no bearing on anything. Wrestling is storytelling. It's at its best when it is done in long-form. We're early into a story here and everyone is like this sucks wah wah wah. You know what sucked major ass? The Death Riders. But people were happy with it at All In Texas because the end was solid. Seriously fuck this bullshit

I understand both sides of the crashout here. My biggest takeaway is that if you aren't interested in TNA being a vessel for WWE development, it's time to stop watching, because that's where things are. WWE only cares about the legacy and current acts of TNA to the extent that they can utilize them to their advantage. Which, doesn't mean they can't do cool shit, it just isn't gonna have the heart that D'Amore instilled in my. Same time, if you're cool with it, nice, you'll probably continue to enjoy the product. They're doing well in terms of attendance and shit. The guys like Santana, Maclin, Moose and Hendry who are potentially hurt by NXT talent crossover will probably be WWE-bound sooner or later due to this partnership as well. Sucks for TNA diehards like I once was, but that's how shit goes.

The AJ Styles appearance was kinda hilarious. For as much as fans have dreamed about him making a TNA return, his first appearance back gets all this promotion and it's basically a photo-op :lol

they did well for attendance but it has not translated into any tv viewers or tv deals. what happens once they poach all the stars, I do not know. their taping attendance is not very good, either. I feel the attendance record thing is over valued as, at it stands, it's a one off and sustainability outside the majorly wwe talent shows has yet to be proven. we shall see. sad shit unless you're a wwe fan who has time to watch 20 hours a week

didn't they just get a deal with Sportsnet in Canada? Also yeah I'd say breaking an all time attendance record is a big deal (while announcing a show in a building that they can break this record in). Just because something doesn't fit your narrative doesn't mean you discredit it. That's your problem when something good happens and WWE may be even tangentially you immediately discredit it.

No I have been told I'm not allowed to enjoy an incredible show just because the Heels went over. Even though that's how professional wrestling works

Yeah but why let it affect you? Trust me it’s much easier to just shrug it off cuz in the none of our opinions matter.

There is not sustainability for TNA beyond the WWE partnership as far as I'm concerned. It's not like WWE is setting TNA up to succeed autonomously. They're gonna milk all the value they can for themselves and leave the scraps, I don't think there's really any question about that. There will be some enjoyment in the meantime, plenty of records probably broken, hopefully some extra money in the pockets of the talent, at least as a byproduct of the increased exposure, but it is ultimately leading to the death or absorption of TNA, which will be a shitty day for company diehards.

Only thing I disagree might be extra money in talents pockets. I feel the owners and execs will pocket it all and pull the shute

Edit: ig they'll get more money when they sign for WWE lol

It's wrestling, the last people to see the money are the talent.

1. No said this and everyone told you they were happy you had fun, stop it.

2. We all know how wrestling works , again, stop it with this BS where ppl don't understand heat, they do. This was shit for tna diehards and if you can't accept an opposing viewpoint the issue is you.
