I think putting the belts on the Hardy’s then having face the Dudley’s is pretty fucking egregious too
Yeah. When Bubba came out I made a joke about it. Then they actually damn do it.

It goes with nxt just winning all the tna titles obviously. Next up Leon loses the X-Divison title to Je'Von Evans.
or Santana beats Oba Femi.

:heston good one.
I fully expect a TNA person winning an NXT title but I figure it'll be one of the NAs first.

Maybe. Wouldn't really bet on it.

Just really think that it was dumb booking tonight. TNA has this thing where they just dont strike at the right time. As much as I loved Nic winning last year, I can admit Joe Hendry should have won it way sooner than he did. Now the same shit is happening with Santana. Like yeah, he will get it, hopefully anyway.... but I mean shit, NXT bent TNA over tonight, and went in with no damn lube. Raw dogged the fuck out of them, on their second biggest show.

In all honesty I was with you on the Hendry Title run... Until it happened and then I realize they did it at the correct time. Had they done it earlier Joe wouldn't have been champ for the biggest moments of his reign (Rumble and Mania, both of which led to the most media attention for himself, the Championship, and TNA as a whole).

I feel like they're trying to replicate what WWE did with Cody Rhodes. People said Cody should have won at Mania 39, but the win at Mania 40 was exponentially bigger than it would have been at 39.

If I was booking this show in a bubble yeah I'd have Santana go over. I'm not booking and it isn't a 1 show bubble so my opinion is not really informed. They need to also book towards BFG and whatever other shows they have going on with NXTNA.

Didn't watch the show but I'd like to chime in. I was huge on Joe last year, but as soon as he lost his first defense, all of his momentum for me died in an instant. Sure, you save up for a "bigger" moment but what's the point of the later moment when you'd have more eyes on the initial moment

Joe could've still had the title for those moments winning a few months earlier tbh. I don't think winning in July over January HAS to change any of that tbh. Like this is the biggest Nic Nemeth fan here saying that. :lol in the moment, I loved it. But I can admit Joe should have won there, or hell at least at BFG..again. dropped the ball there also.

I don't know. Like if Masha won, then maybe it would be a different story. But I don't know if losing both your world titles is a good look.

Does it look great right now? Meh if the competition is what company your champions belong to then sure it doesn't look great. Thankfully for TNA The Championships are just a prop and have no bearing on how the company is doing.

But TNA just set their US attendance record and will try to break this record in a few months. TNA Talent are getting more eyes on them on a weekly basis. And did they announce the end of the partnership? No. No they did not.

Paul Heyman said it best at Mania 39. It's the 3rd inning. Next step is Matt Cardona winning all the NXT Titles.

Okay. If they are just props. Let's have TNA beat NXT for their two world titles. I doubt that happens. Cool good for them on those records. Still got punked out.

The "more eyes" the "TNA talent" is getting don't matter whatsoever, since those numbers are hollow ones. Yea, they're getting more money out of it, but most of those people are not there for the actual TNA talent and will leave the product on the side of the road, the moment their WWE-bound favorites leave or they'd pull out WWE/NXT involvement in general.

More views does not equal quality or long-term success... especially in TNAs case, after they basically baited & switched a lot of fans last year after the "resurrection". Instead of working off of that wave of excitement, hope and enthusiasm that whole story created, they kinda went with the easy, but partly soulless way out and are now in a way the crown jewel of WWE's self-created independent scene.

I'm the last person who doesn't like a good nostalgia pop and moment, but man... that's some dire booking.

...and the timing is most suspicious (and funny) with what we've seen happening not that long ago on a PPV of a different company... if you catch my drift.
