This is bad advice
Don't research anything Deadd. Just flip a coin for everything, or even better yet say every match will end in a Draw. At least this week when you're challenging for the Workhorseweight Championship. On other weeks yeah you can do some research that's kinda logical.
In all honesty dude I was the same way my first time challenging for the title on a card of shows I don't follow. Did not win. Then ended up getting another show a few weeks ago and even though I don't follow MLW or MLP I managed to someone dethrone the GOAT Workhorseweight Champion of all time Rosie.
It's worked for me. The Workhorseweight title was invented because of me coming so close 11 weeks or so in a row. Everyone's different. Troop I didn't say follow it . I said try doesn't mean it would work your right . Did for me though as after I started studying feuds or stories it all clicked.

Now... is the confidence thing now the main score, or are those points only a buffer after the TB points before time of prediction for the ranking?

Confidence is now the main score. The secondary score is the number of corrects. Then tiebreaks, then reverse order of rankings (to reward lesser-known predictors for standing up to the big guns). After that, it's time of prediction.
