My only mild opposition to that would be the fact that you couldn't directly compare Season 1 rankings to Season 2 rankings. Not unless the roughly same number of predictions happens as Season 1, which would be a bit of a challenge given the usual workload plus confidence rankings

But otherwise I'm totally fine with it

This is just a minor suggestion but add a third title, and run it akin to a division system based on rankings.

Players can move up or down a division based on how well they do in their respective division.

There's the world title, the middle title, and the lower title. What if the world title could be held indefinitely, but the middle and lower title can be held for a maximum time? What if they could defend the title a maximum of 5-8 times, and if they reach the max, they'll move up the rankings into the next division. When this happens, the lowest ranked member of that upper division is moved down to the lower division.

This allows everyone to at least compete for something, even lower ranked members. They have opportunities to challenge and move up the better they do, and members who get taken to a lower division have the opportunity to compete for a title immediately!
Expanding on this too btw, one way to do the divisional system would be to have head-to-head to move up and down the rankings.

Example: You have 12 people predicting weekly.

#1 is the World Champion
#2 is the challenger

#3 & #4 compete to become the next challenger

#5 is the midcard champion
#6 is the midcard challenger

#7 & #8 compete to become the next midcard challenger

#9 is the lower champion
#10 is the challenger

#11 & #12 compete to become the next lower challenger.

If #2 loses the title match, he's bumped down to #3, and the winner of 3/4 is bumped up to #2.

If #5 defends long enough, they vacate the title and move up to #4, while the former #4 is moved down to #7-8

Additionally to promote continual activity, maybe multiple no-shows will automatically lead to a lowering to a lesser division.

I've got an idea if we were to use this system

The tiebreaking would be:
1. Points under this system
2. Prediction difference (right predictions minus wrong, to allow for situations where one player got one lucky right prediction not being carried)
3. Tiebreaks
4. (Reverse order of ranking? Score on the previous event?)
Hmm risk vs reward adds an element of danger. Like it.

That's a better way of doing it Sky. I don't think there should be lot of Belts think two is enough for the players we get each week. Maybe have a tag randomiser, say if we do that instead of single picks every smaller ppv .

First and foremost I find this incredibly enjoyable already. Sky you're doing an incredible job.

I like the ranked prediction thing, however not for a primary points system. I would suggest doing a week with like 10 matches. All tiebreaks are decided by the ranked predictions. If both are tied then you can do a longest/shortest match or a Who's the Mystery person tiebreak as a Final Tiebreak. In the event Predictions, ranked predictions, and tiebreakers don't break a tie, then earliest submission is fair as at that point it would be damn near impossible to get to that. This comes from someone who lost out on a Galaxyweight Championship Match due to earliest submission.

With regards to multiple midcard titles, I think what we have is great the way it is. One Galaxyweight Title for the top predictor of the previous week, and the WorkHorseWeight title for continuous greatness. In theory a newcomer can join the game and in their first week become Number 1 Contender. I think that helps make people want to play the game. If I needed to slowly work my way up the card every week I may not want to join as one missed week screws you.

One thing I would like to suggest for spicing up the game would be a Money In The Bank type thing. Whoever wins the (insert Mcguffin here) can challenge for whatever title they want (they can PM you when making their predictions) and they get inserted into that title match (making it a Triple Threat)
