Yeah, I can see why the decision was made after this specific match even though I’m not personally offended by this and if I’m watching a dog collar match I want blood because this is the type of match that needs it but I can definitely see them being like yeah let’s cool on the blood for a while, but I would just say let’s just keep it clean for a while not so much a banning permanently it would just be unless we specifically tell you to blade during this match don’t blade and then they can just occasionally on one of their four main pay-per-view, they could do a dog collar match or a cage match or what have you and do color for the psychology.

You had me in the first half. I can see why an executive would be like OK let’s cool it for a minute cause it is getting bad during this particular match because he botched his blade job. If you do it right it shouldn’t be like this but that being sad this is still entertaining as fuck to me. This is a dog collar match. It’s supposed to be gruesome.

Same. Only in a devils advocate way I can see why the decision was made specifically after this match, but if I didn’t know that they had banned blading I have no problem with this match whatsoever. This match is super awesome. This is what you want from a dog collar match.

The problem is that he botched the blade job. It’s not supposed to be spraying out like that. He accidentally hit one of his veins, but that being said a casual fan watching this match just saw these two go and give it there all for this new belt and now they know this belt is something that people are willing to die for and just put over that belt huge.

Also, the fact that Macklin did bleed that much and went to absolute hell to keep that belt just made Macklyn an immediate superstar in the fans eyes. This man is now made, he IS the international champion.
