How do we know this is a "WWE thing"?

They cited partners and advertisers, WWE is a partner. Who has the same practice. This has never been an issue until now suddenly. Context clues.

Context is needed but rarely provided here.

Maclin and Young had a bloodbath dog collar match on day one of the tapings. It was the amount of blood you’d see result in change by the time taping #2 began.

but sure…WWE called them in between taping the bloodiest match they’ve done and taping the next day and told them that a match they hadn’t seen had to be the last. We’ll go with that.

They taped on May 1st that Dog Collar match, then had a talent meeting early on May 2 where they told the talent about the ban, then had the big next taping round afterwards, where WWE talent was involved.

So... we don't know if WWE eyes were around when that Dog Collar Match went down or if they heard about it at some point between it ended and that talent meeting happened and were actively involved in the decision, or if TNA made this decision on their own when they realized that a match like this might anger their Daddy.

Giving their track record and how WWE usually acts and the way this partnership has been going so far (and how it at least seems to evolve into) it's definitely not far-fetched to think they were in some way part of this decision. Be it actively or passively.

It's 2025. Shit happens and blading is part of wrestling. Man what a travesty.

As someone that’s had zero problem with the WWE/TNA relationship until today, I have to concur this is obviously to get TNA more in line with their WWE partner and I don’t like it at all.

WWE has been showing more blood lately and even have been doing the black and white replays with blood less from what i have seen. I think this might be misplaced blame and them trying to get a tv deal.
