He was in the Hospital recently and it was not looking good but he pulled through. Once he came out of the Hospital and he was in a Wheelchair I knew the possiblity of his passing was coming sooner or later. I remember when he came to Philly Years ago and the energy he had and the people gave to him man that was a moment. RIP to him

Roman Catholic cardinals will meet in a secret conclave to elect the new leader of the global Church starting from May 7, a senior Vatican source said on Monday.

The date was decided during a closed-door meeting of cardinals at the Vatican, the first since the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday, the source said. The official announcement is due shortly.

Some 135 cardinals, all under the age of 80 and from across the world, are eligible to take part in the conclave and decide who should be the next leader of the 1.4-billion-member Church.

All 133 cardinal electors who traveled to Rome are expected to enter the Sistine Chapel later this afternoon, according to the Vatican’s order of precedence for the procession.

Ahead of the conclave, Vatican experts say that no clear favorite has emerged, largely due to the unprecedented turnout that makes this the largest conclave to date.

“The sheer size and diversity of the College of Cardinals make it harder than ever to coalesce around a single strong candidate,” one expert wrote in the local newspaper Corriere della Sera, adding, “the longer the conclave stretches, especially if no white smoke appears by Thursday, the greater the chances of a surprise election.”

Some Italian outlets have named Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican's 70-year-old top diplomat, as a front-runner. But conclaves, by their nature, are unpredictable.

Black smoke was seen emanating from the chimney atop the Sistine Chapel indicating no new pope was elected during the first round of voting Wednesday.

As a guy who likes to know about how other faiths work and how the process of electing a Pope works . I recommend Conclave as a must see on how the process of electing a Pope works. It's always been something that One wanted to know and found it a very daunting process for those Bishops involved. Let's hope the RC Church selects a Liberal Pope who will carry on the hard work that has been hard fought for by the last two poles.
