At the smaller stores like ours, and in our region, earbuds aren't necessarily an issue, corporate doesn't particularly care as long as people aren't on their phones 24/7

I just listen to music/podcasts or watch TikToks on my break. I used to listen to music while working outside getting the carts but that became a no-no after awhile, probably for the best

A lot of ppl work better with music etc, unless you're customer facing I don't have an issue with ear pods. A lot of ppl on various parts of the spectrum also concentrate better when not distracted by real ppl. I think it's wrong to paint everyone and every situation with the same brush. What works at one place may not else where n vice versa

My only thing would be to make sure it's safe and ppl can hear you . Obv places like a live kitchen doesn't work. But I would say ppl doing paper work? Putting together orders? Who cares, no different than a radio to me

Everyone is customer facing at my work so hence the issue. I don't mind the earbuds (and have done it in the past) when not customer-facing.

yeah that's not really doable if you're helping customers in the floor . U can't make it seem they are secondary. Totally get that.
