for sure . Id say the McMahon family has actually never been closer to Trump. Ppl can say there's plausible deniability with Paul but he's been at mar a largo lots, inaugurations and making wrestling jokes while there. Dude is just as much part of that group, he just doesn't say too much out loud just like Vince

I think it's mostly because ppl want to like WWE and not be confronted with this. They had genuine hopes Paul would be different. Which he is in some ways. But he's still was groomed in the system , in that family. They likely hope it be different because most ppl don't agree with trump etc n they were genuinely hopeful the company would be cleaner along with the renewed creative
