ECW on February 16th 2010 would air its final episode, at the time Mr. McMahon introduced the world to the first of its kind game show to find the NXT breakout star in NXT to replace the show. We all know the history after that 8 "rookies" were aligned with 8 "pros" and would do challenges to showcase them. Wade Barrett would win it, and in the end the first season superstars would band together and create the famous Nexus. On Paper really was a shocking moment and it did do its job it gave us some new superstars in Daniel Bryan, Ryback, Wade Barrett, Heath Slater, and so on. I mean over the next few years NXT would turn from game to show to full on developmental to the hottest brand in wrestling where the top unsigned WWE talent would go. Hell to this day NXT is still standing strong and to some better than ever. This be the booker though tells a different story. What if instead of going out with a whimper that ECW would live on? That NXT never happens? What would become of the brand? Things would have to change however, the WWECW can't go on like it is. You have to change it up. Thats what I am going to do. Now how do I do this? The first thing we do is take an idea that NXT would do and be based from one place. This being no better than the ECW Bingo Halls of Philedelphia . Next talent, you need that and thus this is where I once again will go to another idea that NXT had I will be adding some indie talent sprinkled with old ECW alumni and build a roster from there. I plan on this ECW being hybrid of ECW/FCW/NXT in a sense where its not as much in the public eye. They are their own kind of thing, stiill tied to WWE but instead like Vince giving the keys to HHH. Here the keys go to a brain trust of Heyman & Dusty to build not only the ECW brand from the ashes but the next gen of Extreme as well.

Bryon Saxton & Josh Matthews welcome us to the new era of ECW live from Bingo halls of the 2300 Arena in Philly. However the two are not alone they are welcomed by a voice known across the ECW world the one and the only Joey Styles! Joey says he’s happy to be back home on ECW and that tonight the world of extreme returns. He says while it may be different ECW was always used to help promote the brightest future stars of wrestling. Byron says he’s honored to call it with Joey and the three of them tell us to strap in for action.
Ezekiel Jackson is in the ring and he is with William Regal by his side and Regal’s newest addition to Ruthless Roundtable Wade Barrett. Barrett stands tall and stoic as Regal grabs a microphone.
William Regal: Last week and end of era came when Ezekiel Jackson ended the reign of Christian and captured his first world title. Now I want to warn all you young men backstage, that if you dare try to take this championship from us you will end up like Christian. You will be battered, broken and bruised and left with no one to blame but yourselves. Speaking of the future…
Regal turns his attention from the ECW Champion to that now of Wade Barrett he begins to list off the accolades of the newest member of the ECW roster.
William Regal: Wade Barrett, this man I have hand selected to be the right hand of the “King” Ezekiel Jackson and the royal guard. “Lord” Wade Barrett. This man right here represents the future of wrestling, I have no doubts that he’s a future world champ. Now however, we must turn our attention to our present, and the true king of ECW Ezekiel Jackson.
Ezekiel grabs the mic to a sea of boos as he tries to speak.
Ezekiel Jackson: Thank You Mr. Regal as we look onto the new landscape of ECW here back in it’s past. I have to say I wish it was outside this cesspool. That being said, Mr. Regal I have to disagree with one thing.
William Regal: What is that King?
Ezekiel Jackson: You talk about how they should be warned. I say bring on any challenge because If they dare want to step up, they will be met with the fall. They will come to the realization that they are standing across the ring from a much better man.
Ain’t No Stopping Me Now!
Out comes ECW’s resident “Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin to a bit of a mix reaction. Shelton walks right up to Jackson not phased at all. Shelton would laugh.
Shelton Benjamin: You wanted someone to step up…
He doesn’t finish his sentence he slaps Jackson across the face and is jumped by Ruthless Roundtable.
Commentary team talks about how they were bold by Benjamin but probably not the smartest. Just as they finish the sentence Benjamin would hit Regal with Paydirt. He turns his attention to Barrett going for a superkick, no Barrett catches his foot but Benjamin with a dragon whip! The Ruthless Roundtable are outside the ring Shelton with momentum leaps over the top rope and takes out all three men. He grabs the ECW Championship high as we head to break.
We come back from break as the Ruthless Roundtable are backstage in a foul mood. Scott Stanford is looking to get a word with them. William Regal with vile intent looks directly at the camera.
William Regal: Shelton Benjamin, you stupid… stupid boy. You have just dug yourself into your own grave. What you did to your ECW World Heavyweight Champion.
Ezekiel Jackson cuts him off. He grabs his championship on his shoulder and pats it before going on to speak.
Ezekiel Jackson: And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you. Shelton, you signed your own death warrant and in this land of extremes if these peasants want gold, they will pay in blood.
The three of them walk off as we head to the ring for the first match of the night.
Match One: David Otunga & “Showtime” Percy Watson w/Abraham Washington vs. The Hurricane & Yoshi Tatsu
End Of Match:
There is a back and forth but the team managed by Abraham Washington are in full control from the start of the match. Tatsu is on the outside of the ring right now trying to get the crowd behind The Hurricane to tag in. Hurricane is in unfriendly territory as the new tag team takes control. Watson is watching on as Abraham Washington barks orders. Otunga sends Hurricane to the mat with a body slam and nearly decapitates him with a lariat. Otunga mocks Hurricane telling him to go on making the tag but, when he gets close Otunga pulls him back. Otunga grabs Hurricane who reverses it into a roll up and only gets two.
Hurricane gets the hot tag in and Tatsu is coming in like a house of fire. He takes out Otunga with a series of kicks, sends him into the corner and chops him, Yoshi comes back with a unique hip toss and then he sets up Otunga for a Shining Wizard. Washington though pulls Otunga out of the ring. They huddle up as ECW Cape Crusader is on the top rope and leaps off with a cross body.
Washington pushes his clients out the way. Watson run in behind Tatsu grabbing him from behind yelling for Otunga who he throws at him and Otunga lifts him up with a One Hand Spinebuster but, as he does, Watson hits a Reverse DDT combo. They make the pin and this one is over.
Winners: David Otunga & “Showtime” Percy Watson by pinfall
After the match Abraham Washington with heavy breath at first speaks.
AW: This is just the first of many W’s these men are about to get Philly! These two are the greatest one- two punches since Shaq & Kobe. These two guys are coming for it all they are the stars of this show and soon enough they will be draped in gold baby. A little birdy told me that ECW Tag Team Championship is coming back and you are looking at the front runners in “Showtime” Percy Watson & David Otunga and that is an Abraham Washington Seal Of Approval, so take it to the bank.
The Duo leave as we had to break
Back live on ECW and we are standing outside the offices of ECW General Manager Tiffany. Tiffany walks out in her best plaid dress suit and the usually happy go lucky Tiffany seems rather somber. Scott Stanford with a mic walks up to her.
Tiffany: Oh well, glad you guys are here it seems that my actions last week spearing Rosa Mendes will not go unpunished. I have been relieved of my duties as ECW GM. I don’t want to throw a pity party for myself. I am a big girl, and it’s always been my dream to be WWE superstar and for me while one door closes another one opens. I may have been fired as GM but, I been signed by Raw to go compete on Monday nights. I want to thank ECW Universe and the superstars that made ECW the brand it was. Now before I go, I do have one more big announcement. I like to introduce the new GM of ECW the new sheriff as they say.
The One…
The Only…
Terry
Funk!
Terry Funk emerges from the door to a massive pop. He has a Funk U shirt on and black blazer Tiffany shakes his hand and walks off as Terry goes on to speak.
Terry Funk: Now I was going to properly introduce myself as we opened the show here tonight. However our new ECW Champion and his friends wanted to speak their mind and I won’t stand in the way of that. That said .Tiffany did come up with one more great idea. I was happy to oblige, so tonight’s main event will be for the ECW Championship but there will be a special guest enforcer. A deputy you could say. He is the law in that ring and both men will follow his directive. As for what Mr. Washington had said earlier this is true, the ECW Tag Team Championship will be returning soon. Now over the next few weeks I have sent out invites to a number of people and we will see who competes for championship in the future now then Mr. Stanford I have some things to attend to.
The crowd pops as we go to the ring for our next match.
Match Two: Zack Ryder vs. Goldust
End Of Match: The match is pretty much a game of cat and mouse as Ryder rolls out anyway time Goldust gets a good offense in. Ryder is currently running around the ring with Goldust chasing him. Ryder catches Goldust with a big dropkick in between the ropes as he tries to enter the ring.
Ryder poses over Goldust going Woo Woo Woo You Know It! He then grabs Goldust and hits a spinning back drop and then climbs to the second rope delivering El-Bro Drop before going for cover only to have Goldust get up at two. Goldust gains control now sending Ryder into the ropes and then hitting a drop down uppercut.
Goldust calls for Director’s Cut and Ryder reverses it with a few back elbows and then turns and hits his Zack Attack. Zack goes for another cover and only gets a two count. The young brash Long Island native is now letting his frustrations get to him. Ryder grabs the official and says he needs to do his job.
Goldust takes advantage of this, lifting him up and connecting with a Director’s Cut and this one is over.
Winner: Goldust by pinfall
After the match a very ticked off Ryder goes to attack Goldust from behind but, Goldust is ready and the two men start to trade shots with one another until Ryder sends Goldust into the steel steps and hits a Running Big Boot caving Goldust head in.
Zack Ryder: You like that bro, You are a joke, and I am not going to be your punchline.
Ryder walks off as the officials take a look at Goldust.
We get a video package playing where we are outside a dark alley somewhere in the UK. We hear footsteps followed by a body falling down in front of the camera. It’s being dragged away. A British voice can be heard off the camera.
Everyone
Deserves
What
Is
Coming
Back from break, and we are backstage before our Main Event. Scott Stanford is standing next to Shelton Benjamin who is getting ready for the match. Benjamin is jumping up and down, he’s warming up and stops to begin the interview.
Scott Stanford: Shelton you are just a few moments away from challenging for ECW Championship against a very game “King” Ezekiel Jackson. It would seem to alot of people that he is going into this match with as much prove if not more in his first defense of the championship that he just won. What will it take tonight to defeat him?
Shelton takes a moment to think before speaking.
Shelton Benjamin: What would it take tonight to defeat Jackson? It means that I have to live up to my name, the gold standard.
I have to go out there, and steal the show.
I have to go out there and show the people, show myself I have what it takes. I know I do.
I spent so many years climbing to that top to get to that brass ring and every time I do it’s just falls out of reach. I have beaten the very best. I have stood toe to toe with the likes of HHH, HBK, Ric Flair, John Cena’s and yet here I stand with no title around my waist. “King” Ezekiel thinks he’s this unstoppable ruler. The reality is he’s just a man like every one of us and tonight he falls.
The theme of Shelton Benjamin hits and the cameras follow him as he makes his way out to the ring from gorilla position. King Ezekiel Jackson is out next with Regal & “Lord” Wade Barrett out from behind the big man. Regal hands the championship to him in the ring and he holds it up high.
The crowd awaits as we await the announcement of the special guest referee. The music of the iconic Mick Foley hits and the crowd let out a giant pop. Joey Styles says we should have guessed who it was, one of ECW greatest wrestlers and one of wrestling greats. It’s Mick Foley! Mick comes out with his red plaid jacket and a referee shirt underneath it. He walks to the ring and goes bang bang! He then immediately tells Regal & Barrett they are out of here before the match even starts. The two argue with him as King Ezekiel tells them it’s ok. I got this. Ruthless Roundtable are warned again as Mick Foley points to the shirt.
ECW Championship Match:
“King” Ezekiel Jackson vs. Shelton Benjamin w/ Special Guest Referee Mick Foley
End Of Match:
King Ezekiel seems to have under estimated his opponent here tonight in Shelton Benjamin. However just as it seems that Shelton would close in on winning the ECW Championship, Benjamin would be stopped in his tracks with a wicked backbreaker. King Ezekiel goes for the pinfall but, only gets a one count. King Ezekiel is livid with Mick Foley grabbing him and sending him into the corner. Shelton would take advantage of this, grabbing the big man and hitting an earth shattering German Suplex.
Shelton does only get a two count. Shelton quick to his feet and grabs Ezekiel and looks for a T-Bone Suplex. King Ezekiel powers out of it with some elbows and keeps hitting Shelton down to the ground. King Ezekiel lets out a roar and taunts his opponent.
He is in full control now grabbing Shelton and working on his neck with some cranks before picking him up and body slamming him and then hitting another and another. Shelton’s face tells the story of pain as King Ezekiel walks on top of his back and once again mocks his opponent. It would seem that at any moment King Ezekiel can end this match.
King Ezekiel grabs Shelton once again and is lifting him up over his head. King Ezekiel with this just incredible power is trying to send Shelton to the outside but luckily Shelton fights out of it and hits Paydirt!
Out of nowhere Randy Orton would even be impressed as Shelton tries for the pin and King Ezekiel wisely moves to the outside of the ring. Shelton is upset knowing that may have been his one chance to have captured the ECW Championship. Shelton the risk taker awaits for King Ezekiel to get to his feet on the outside and catapults ontop of him.
Shelton grabs the champion and sends him back into the ring looking to do more offense he is awaiting on King Ezekiel once more. Shelton springboards up onto the rope and look for a clothesline but, he is caught by King Ezekiel. He sends him crashing down to the mat with a powerbomb.
King Ezekiel looks for a cover but, once more Shelton would get his shoulder up. The heart of “The Gold Standard” will not let this shot at the ECW Championship go to waste screams Byron from the commentary table.
Shelton & King Ezekiel are trading shots in the middle of the ring both men clearly fatigued but neither one giving a inch. The ECW Champion King Ezekiel does take control and spins around with a nasty Discus Clothesline.
King Ezekiel lets another roar out and now applies a bearhug in the center of the ring. Shelton is trying with all his might to get out of it hitting a bell clap but, still the champion is holding on. Shelton tries another attack and King Ezekiel would fall to one knee however his arms still wrapped around Shelton. King Ezekiel has fallen can Shelton take advantage states Joey Styles. The answer to this is no, King Ezekiel with a second wind applies the hold once again and Shelton tries to resist he doesn’t submit but he does pass out and Mick Foley calls for the bell this one is over.
Winner: And Still ECW Champion By Submission Passout King Ezekiel
The Ruthless Roundtable would make their way out to the ring and as Mick Foley would hand the championship to them. It would seem that the stable want to make an example out of Shelton Benjamin. William Regal & “Lord” Wade Barrett would attempt to attack him as Mick Foley would intervene and tells them that is enough. They have a stare off as security comes to the ring. The guards would get in the middle of them and escort Ruthless Roundtable out of the arena. Mick Foley’s music hits and he seems to go around the crowd shaking hands taking pictures as he does that a woman jumps the guardrail and is hugging Mick Foley.
The woman is smiling and crying like fan meeting a rockstar when all of a sudden the smile turns into a smirk. She drops down and hits Mick below the belt. Foley drops to his knee and out of nowhere there is a man now grabbing Mick by the hair. He has leather black jacket on and jeans with a deranged look in his eyes.
???: You brought this on yourself Mick! You have to pay…
You ruin a generation…
The man sends Mick Foley’s head off the steel steps he does it over and over as the woman laughs manically. He instructs her to undo the padding outside the ring and a few guards from the back are trying to stop him. The man drops them with a few attacks and then goes back to attacking Mick Foley. He grabs Mick and drops him with a double arm ddt on the pavement and the sound of Mick’s head hitting the pavement sounds like a baseball bat hitting a ball. There is more security now that tackle the man to the ground and handcuff him to the ground we go to black to end the show with the man screaming .
I am a Hound Of Justice Mick Foley.
After The Show:
We would get video footage of Mick Foley being transported into an ambulance and as he is being loaded in. You can see in the background the two assailants as they are put into the back of a cop car. The man has a gleeful look in his eyes watching from the window as Mick’s ambulance is taking away. All of sudden you can hear a different voice going “You Son Of A B****” It is that of ECW newly made General Manager Terry Funk as he pulls the cop car door open and throws Mick’s attacker to the ground and begins to stomp away at him. The cops and guards come in to stop him as the woman screams. The footage cuts out after that.
We open up live to the ECW arena as the music of ECW General Manager Terry Funk. Funk walks out to the ring and you can tell that there is a lot on his mind. He had to watch as last week his good friend Mick Foley was assaulted by those two anarchists. Terry Funk would ask for a mic and begin to speak.
Terry Funk: Everyone saw what happened last week and I know many of you have questions and want answers. I am right there with you. I wish I could come out here and tell you I got everything squared away. That I could answer it… All I know is this. That man is a coward, that man is a nut, that man….
The mic gets cut off and the lights go out and the tron starts to malfunction. Then there is a voice and on the screen in the back of the production trucks we see the man and the woman. The man is in a black leather jacket and jeans again. She is draped on his arm holding him tight.
???: Where do you get off calling me a coward Terry? I am not a coward or some anarchist or some crazed fan. I am the Hound of Justice. My name is Dean Ambrose. This right here is AJ Lee. I am here as a death dealer of sorts. I am here to make sure that the crimes against Mick Foley are made public. That the right hand of justice is swift. Mick Foley is a criminal. He is a false idol that should pay for what he did. What your whole generation did. I grew up real fast, I learned from the false prophecy that Mick Foley would preach every single time he would step foot in that ring. Alot of my friends didn’t get here, didn’t get this chance to be on this stage. To have this platform because they broke their bodies in the name of Hardcore! So that they could make a name for themselves by bleeding in that ring, by leaping off of houses all in the chance that they would make a name for themselves.
Tell me Mick, did you ever once think about the consequences of your actions when you climb to the top of the hell in the cell and hurl your body off it? Did you think about the influence you held when teenage boys would try to recreate what you did? My friends can't feel their arms or their legs because of you Mick? And now they are addicted to pills because the pain never stops. I have come home to see my best friend hanging from his ceiling fan because he wanted to be you Mick. He trained to be a pro wrestler, and he couldn’t break the mold. He wasn’t some muscle bound gigantic freak.
So he had to go down your path to make a name for himself. He had to get busted open with steel chairs; he had to wrap himself with barbed wire so that he could hope to make a name for himself. When no one called, when no one would give him a job, he was at his wits end; he didn't see any other option; he ended his own life. Mick you are to be held accountable for that. That’s just one of many stories and I promise you Mick Foley that you will remember each one of their names when I carved it into your skin. Now as for you Terry, your little cheap shot on me well its going to cost you.
Dean points to his left eye as he speaks; it's bruised and red.
Dean Ambrose: You see, because I am told I got a pretty good case to sue you for everything that you have, I am not going to do that. I could take everything from you Terry. I am simply willing to forgo it to let bygones be bygones. However in order to do that you and I are going to cut a deal. You see I hear you guys have a PPV coming up in a few weeks, the first ever ECW Hostile Takeover and I want to be on the card. I want you to legalize it as what its going to be. A Public Execution. I want you to make the match and watch as I take that Old Yeller to the woodshed and put a bullet right between his skull. Mick Foley vs. Dean Ambrose at ECW Hostile Takeover. Make the match, Terry. I will give you one week to decide.
The feed cuts out as we go to break.
Match One:
ECW Tag Team Invitational
Curt Hawkins & Trent Barreta vs. ???
Before the match gets under way we are told that Hawkins & Barreta opponents' music hits reveal to be Blue World Order’s Nova & The Blue Meanie!
End Of Match:
Hawkins & Beretta are in control of the match right now keeping with quick tags and beating down The Blue Meanie on their side of the ring. Trent right now has Meanie in headlock and sends him into the ropes near Hawkins who gets a cheapshot in. Hawkins pulls Meanie to the outside and Nova runs over jumping off the steel steps with a double axe handle to back of Hawkins. Nova then with a back body drop on Trent.
Nova picks up Meanie and rolls him over to their side of the ring tagging in and then runs to the turnbuckle and awaits for the young duo to rise up and he would hit a cross body from the top rope to the outside. Nova sends Trent back into the ring and would start working on his knee. Nova with control now sends Trent into the corner and tags in Meanie. They tie him to the tree of woe and Meanie would hit a corner cannonball splash before going for a cover.
He would only get one.
Meanie would try to keep control and also work on the knee of Trent. He attempts to go for a leg vice knee bar Trent is able to reverse that and roll him up getting only a two count.
Trent, hobbling a bit tries to get some offense in himself pulling Meanie by the back of his shirt to the ground and then tagging in Hawkins who now firmly takes over the match and begins a series of attacks on him before climbing to the second rope. Hawkins looking for an elbow drop, he misses it as Meanie rolls out of the way. He hits a hot tag on Nova.
Nova is cleaning house with chops and punches; he then hits the atomic drop and big boot as Hawkins falls in the middle of the ring. Nova with a throwback here ripping his shirt and pumping up the crowd in a parody of Hulk Hogan! Super Nova is back! Byron would shout from the commentary table and he goes for the leg drop. He misses and Hawkins would grab Nova’s tights as Trent takes out Meanie on the outside. Hawkins with a handful of tights gets the victory.
Winners:
Hawkins & Trent by pinfall
After the match Hawkins & Trent roll out of the ring up the ramp with their hands held high. Josh states that you have to give them credit. They got the job done here tonight and you have to wonder if they are in line for a chance at the newly reenlisted ECW Tag Team Championship. The duo walk off as the crowd gives a nice response to Blue World Order as we go to break.
Back from back and backstage we are in the GM offices of Terry Funk. Terry is on the phone but, he ushers in someone who was knocking on the door. The person that comes on to the screen is none other than the thorn to ECW’s past side is the former leader of The Network Cyrus. Terry does not look happy to see him.
Terry Funk: Mick let me call you back but, I will take what you said into consideration.
Terry hangs up the phone and you could see the two standing face to face.
Cyrus: Whoa, Terry take it easy I come here to you as a friend. I have to agree that what happen was inexcusable and what that lunatic did to Mick Foley was vile. However while I hope Mick makes a speedy recovery my business is not about that. I am simply here to just offer my services as a former leader of ECW. I wish to see that it’s past is represented as much as it’s future. Which is why I am here to give you advice and a gift.
Terry Funk: Oh this should be good.
Cyrus smiles and then off screen grabs something and on the camera we can now see, its the old ECW TV Championship however this one is a bit different. It says Network across the bottom in purple.
Cyrus: Terry I saw last week you brought back the old ECW Tag Team Championship. I think that's a great idea. I think why not give the ECW fans more. Why not give the broadcasters, the network more and Syfy agreed with me. Which is why on behalf of them I give you this, the ECW Network Championship. Now as for the advice, well it’s this General Managers in wrestling never last. So make sure you always keep those in charge happy. You never know how long the leash is and when you may get taken off the air.
Terry Funk: Well thanks for the championship and the advice Cyrus. I got some other stuff I got to attend too.
Cyrus would bow out and the cameras would follow him outside where he would bump into Zack Ryder.
Cyrus: Woo Woo Woo Kid.
Zack Ryder: You Know It!
Cyrus: I got to tell you kid, I think you are trending upwards. You keep up with what you are doing and improve. You are a future world champ.
Zack Ryder nods and Cyrus hands him something as we go to break.
Match Two: “The Fortunate Son” Curtis Axel vs. Ace Steel (Local Talent)
End Of Match:
This match is fairly one sided with Axel in full control. The son of Mr. Perfect he is hitting every move with pinpoint accuracy. Axel would then apply a sleeper hold and Ace would fight out of it gaining his first control of the match. That would quickly end after Ace would go for a DDT and have it reversed into back drop. He then grabs a hold of Ace and would hit a spinning Perfect-Plex and would get the one, two, three.
Winner: “The Fortunate Son” Curtis Axel by Pinfall
After the match Curtis Axel would have his hand raised high as Scott Stanford stood in the ring to get an interview with the newest ECW Wrestler.
Scott Stanford: Well Curtis I have to say, that was an impressively quick victory here tonight. How do you feel?
Curtis Axel: I would say that was a pretty perfect debut huh? All jokes aside, I am very honored to be in ECW. I think a lot of people remember ECW for being the hardcore innovator right. What people do forget is some of the very best technical wrestlers have come through that very curtain and built a legacy too. You look at guys like Lance Storm, Jerry Lynn, Eddie Guerrero and so many more that wrestled here in ECW helped build this company. I have a legacy and a name I want to live up to and I want to also be able to help this brand as well. I look forward to the future here in ECW. Thank you very much.
Axel would exit the ring as we head to break.
Return to ECW as we are once again backstage with The Ruthless Roundtable (King Ezekiel, William Regal, “Lord” Wade Barrett) Regal & Barrett seemed rather pleased while King Ezekiel looks stoic.
William Regal: What seems to be the matter, my king?
King Ezekiel turns his attention to the ECW Championship on his shoulder.
King Ezekiel: ECW should be talking about my victory last week over Shelton Benjamin. I am the ECW Champion. I am the headline act of this brand and yet, here we are not talking about that. Instead we are talking about a savage and a jester. Dean Ambrose & Mick Foley both mean nothing as compared to this ECW Championship. I told these people last week that anyone could step up and I would knock them down. I was not kidding. So tonight once again, I am going to go out there and put this championship on the line. I don’t care who I face because in the end they all will fall.
“Lord” Wade Barrett: The Ruthless Roundtable will have your back my liege.
William Regal: And The Kings will, it shall be done.
???: I couldn’t think of a better man to play the part than I.
A sultry voice is heard and coming into the picture is Goldust!
Goldust: King Ezekiel if you are looking for a challenger, look no further.
King Ezekiel: Speaking of jesters, here's another clown. I was hoping for a better challenge but, it looks like tonight it will be an easy defense.
Goldust: Oh I promise you, I am no easy challenge. Why do you ask dear old Willie there? Kid, I been here a long, long time and trust me when I tell you that the old saying is true the bigger they are…. The harder they fall.
Goldust walks off hissing at King Ezekiel.
Main Event
ECW Championship Match
King Ezekiel w/William Regal & “Lord” Wade Barrett vs. Goldust
End Of Match:

Goldust is now in control hits a atomic drop. Then he hits another, and once more as King Ezekiel is sent into the corner,.Goldust is on fire and places King Ezekiel on the top rope. What is going through Goldust mind Joey Styles wonders as Goldust looks for a superplex.

Winner: And Still ECW Champion
King Ezekiel By Submission
King Ezekiel holds his title high as The Ruthless Roundtable circle around him. The ECW Champion stands proud as they exit the south side of the ring by the commentary table. Byron states that through word of GM Terry Funk that next week, Mick Foley will return to ECW and has invited his attacker Dean Ambrose to a sit down. King Ezekiel hears them talking and has nothing of it. The stoic champion now looks pissed. He grabs the man he just defeated Goldust out of the ring and sends him crashing through the announce table.
King Ezekiel screams at them.
King Ezekiel: This show is about me. I am the champion and you will bow.
The show ends with King Ezekiel holding his title high, his foot over Goldust and the commentary team cowering.
One of the many concerns with the company about ECW at the moment center around a few things. The first being the roster with such a small number there are those within the company who wonder if the brand will get stale even with the additions of Ambrose, Axel, Barrett, Hawkins, Otunga & Watson. There are those who fear that the already low viewership will drop even further. Dusty Rhodes & Paul Heyman are looking to bolster the roster with some key additions from FCW as well. Dusty still contiunes to work on and off down in Florida but, rumors are he is taking on too much between the two. Some of the names being thrown around to join the ECW brand include Justin Angel (PJ Black), Titus O'Neil, Big E Langston, Alex Riley, and Bo & Duke Rotundo. The last two are said not really being considered but are due to come up to either brand too. The feeling backstage is that if ECW does succeed and thats a big IF that in the future in baseball terms the brand would be a AAA with Raw and SD as the big leagues and FCW being AA.
Paul Heyman has pitched ideas of bringing back some former ECW Alumni and the thought process around that is if they impress that WWE would sign them to the brand. We have heard names like Stevie Richards, The Sandman, and Tommy Dreamer were pitch but, nothing is in place as of yet. However it has been rumored that former ECW Tag Team Champion CW Anderson has stopped taking indy bookings.
Speaking of that, it would seem that WWE has given some funds to Paul Heyman & Dusty Rhodes to sign a handful of wrestlers to Two-Way contracts between ECW and FCW. One of the names to watch for is Bryan Danielson. Danielson a former multi time champion in Ring Of Honor is set to become a free agent and there are those in the company that feel a deal could be done.
One more thing to note, is that Syfy deal maybe ending soon and with the rumors of a WWE Network in the future it wouldn't be a surprise if the company decides to showcase it on the app.
We open up with an overhead shot of the ECW Arena. The crowd is on their feet chanting E-C- Dub. Joey Styles & Byron Saxton on the commentary table tonight as Josh Matthews deals with an illness We learn that tonight’s main event is going to be a good one as the ECW Champion King Ezekiel continues his open challenge for the ECW Championship as he defends the championship against a very hungry Vance Archer. Speaking of hunger, says Byron, we got a heck of an opening match here tonight as ECW Tag Team Invitational rolls on as in the ring already are two former ECW Alumni Johnny Swinger & Simon Diamond! Their opponents for tonight are….
The theme of ECW favorites The F.B.I. hit and out with the Italian flag waving proudly is Nunzio & Tony Mamaluke! The duo make their way to the ring as the crowd cheers. Swinger & Diamond look unphased by them and as they climb up the top turnbuckle they attack the FBI and the match gets under way.

Once again he is only able to get a two count. Nunzio tags in Mamaluke and the two of them twist the arms of Swinger before delivering a superkick. Mamaluke climbs to the second turnbuckle, leaps off and looks for a rana. Swinger catches him and flips it into a powerbomb into the turnbuckle.
Swinger tags in Diamond and the two start working on Mamaluke. He hits a suplex and then cockily he follows it up with a pin. He only gets one Diamond grabs Tony by the back of his head and sends him head first off the turnbuckle. Diamond tags in Swinger again and the two of them are looking for a double team move. Nunzio pulls his partner down and the two teams start trading shots in the middle of the ring.
Nunzio sets him up and hits a dropkick on Diamond, sending him to the outside. Mamaluke eventually tags in Nunzio making him the legal man. Nunzio yells at Mamaluke that the Diamond was getting back up and Mamaluke would run across the apron and leap with a flip senton to take out Diamond.

Terry Funk: Mick why don’t we just cancel this whole thing. We aren’t young lions anymore.
Mick Foley stops Terry mid sentence.
Mick Foley: You are right Terry, we aren’t young lions anymore. I am not as good as I once was, but, I am as good once as I ever was. I will not just step aside and be used as a example. No this meeting is happening even if I have to roll myself to the ring. I am not going to stand by.
Terry Funk: Alright Mick, I just hope you know what you are doing.
Mick Foley nods as he gets up. He walks off leaving Funk to his thoughts.
Match Two: “Lord” Wade Barrett w/William Regal vs. Goldust
End Of Match:
The debut of Barrett seems to be going well with him in full control of the match against Goldust. Goldust isn’t 100% following the attack last week after the match by King Ezekiel. Barrett is targeting the ribs of Goldust. He is striking the ribs with almost every attack and it has affected Goldust in the match. Barrett sends Goldust into the corner and begins to kick away at him before boasting to the crowd. Barrett picks Goldust back up with disrespect by smearing off a bit of his face paint as he drags Goldust face across the rope. Barrett drops Goldust's throat first into the second rope and rolls to the outside where he connects with a big boot. Barrett takes this time to once again mock Goldust as he rolls back in the ring.
He tells Goldust to get up, measuring him for a move. Goldust finally gets to his feet and Barrett sends him off the ropes and hits Winds Of Change.
Barrett with the cover only gets two. Barrett quickly continues the attack but Goldust starts a comeback with a few punches knocking Barrett back into the corner. Goldust doesn’t seem to be his normal self, this Goldust seems ticked off and his strikes are coming one after another.
Goldust hits an atomic drop, He uses this, sends Barrett into the ropes and hits a powerslam. Goldust hooks the leg.

Goldust though with another series of strikes and the official has to break it up. Regal is on the outside barking orders too Barrett sliding him something. Regal up on the apron now as Goldust tries to twist Barrett around and just as he does Barrett with the foreign object brass knuckles. This cleans Goldust's clock and he's out like a light.
Barrett hides the knuckles under his gear and presses his hands over the chest over Goldust to pick up the victory.
Winner:
“Lord” Wade Barrett By Pinfall
Barrett and Regal continue the attack afterwards and the two men are assaulting the former IC Champion. Goldust is lifted up and dropped with Wasteland as Regal locks in his Regal Stretch. All Of a sudden the tron goes off and the music of The Hurricane hits and out runs him and Yoshi Tastu.
The Hurricane & Yoshi Tatsu save the day as Regal & Barrett high tail it out of the ring. The babyfaces check on Goldust as we go to break.
We are back to ECW as another vignette plays. We are taken back to an alley way in the UK. There is a scream that echoes throughout, on the pavement a shadow emerges wearing a top hat. The voice speaks.
???: I told you everyone deserves what is coming. What you don’t know is when. I could be anywhere, I could strike at any time and there isn’t a bloody thing you could do about it. ECW you tried to maim me, you tried to get me to bend the knee. All you did was take my soul and with no soul. I now hold no remorse. I am The Ripper and you made me what I am today.
The camera slowly pans up from the shadow and in the light in the distance you could make out the man talking. He has one scar going from one side of his left eye and he bows slightly with a sinister grin, his top hat falling to his hand and his brown curly hair falls to his face.
Back from break and we are once again backstage where William Regal & “Lord” Wade Barrett enter the dressing room of The Ruthless Roundtable. King Ezekiel rises into the picture with the ECW Championship on his shoulder he shouts at William Regal & Wade Barrett.
King Ezekiel: You didn’t just tuck tail and run from a guy playing super hero did you?
King Ezekiel: We are supposed to be The Ruthless Roundtable and the two of you just ran away like on the want to LARP session you enter the Sci-Fi convention instead.
Wade Barrett: You might be a King, but do well to remember who you are speaking too.
William Regal gets in between the two before turning his attention to the ECW Champion.
William Regal: Look tensions are high right now, but that wasn’t us running away, that was a tactical retreat. Wade had just had a match, and the numbers were not in our favor. A defeat of a battle but a war that still is waging on.
Wade Barrett: Yeah, where in the bloody hell were you?
King Ezekiel: I was taking care of matters regarding this ECW Championship. Terry Funk hasn’t told me who I am to defend the championship against at Hostile Takeover.
William Regal: I should go have a chat with our esteemed GM anyway. If that cape crusader wants to stick his nose in our business, I will make sure he pays. Now as for the rest of the night. Wade you should accompany King Ezekiel to the ring for his match against Vance. My king highly suggests you don’t overlook him.
King Ezekiel nods and the two other members of The Ruthless Roundtable make nice as we head to break.
Main Event
ECW World Championship Match
King Ezekiel (c) w/ “Lord” Wade Barrett vs. Vance Archer
End Of Match:
The match has been a slow pace back and forth. Archer has not back down against King Ezekiel as the two men are in a stalemate with a test of strength. Archer stomps down on the foot of the ECW Champion taking control sending him into the corner and throwing a side elbow. Archer is choking King Ezekiel in the corner taking full use of the five count.
Archer sends King Ezekiel into the ropes and hits a wicked big boot. He looks for the cover but, only gets a two. There’s a smile on Archer’s face as he bounces off the ropes and connects with a knee. Archer continues with a couple more strikes before bouncing off the ropes again but, Barrett now intervenes and distracts him.
King Ezekiel from behind hits Archer with a kidney punch and then with a backdrop. King Ezekiel nods to Barrett and it seems whatever hostility there was has stopped King Ezekiel now is clubbing down on the back of Archer taking the big man to the mat.
King Ezekiel lifts Archer up in the air, he is looking to hit a stalling suplex marching around the ring for an impressive amount of time. He finally drops him after about thirty seconds. King Ezekiel walks on top of Archer and then lets out a primal roar.
King Ezekiel looking for his Book Of Ezekiel but, Archer fights out of it and grabs him by the throat hitting a sit out chokeslam. The thunderous collision of the two big men rattle the ring and Archer has the cover.

King Ezekiel with the shoulder up and Wade Barrett ring side begins to walk towards the ramp. Is Wade going to leave King Ezekiel by himself? King Ezekiel sees Barrett and is perplexed. Archer goes for a clothesline…
He misses… and connects with the official.
King Ezekiel hits Book Of Ezekiel…
No…
Archer reverses it again and grabs him by the back of neck. He looks for the Lifting Reverse DDT. He connects with it. Then Barrett is back grabbing Archer he hits Wasteland. Regal has now slide into the ring and the staggering Archer is almost back on his base. Regal rushes him hitting a Knee Trembler.
King Ezekiel is back up and The Ruthless Roundtable are all on the same page. Regal & Barrett roll out of the ring and wake the official up. King Ezekiel goes for cover and this one is over.
Winner: King Ezekiel by pinfall
Again The Ruthless Roundtable help King Ezekiel keep hold of ECW Championship states Joey Styles as Byron Saxton says that next week he has received word that William Regal will be in action and facing The Hurricane. If The Hurricane wins then he becomes number one contender for the ECW Championship. The Ruthless Roundtable walk off the title held high. We cut backstage where Terry Funk is walking out of his office.
We are once again back from commercial break as standing in the ring with two chairs and a load of guards is Terry Funk. Terry grabs a mic and begins to speak.
Terry Funk: As many of you saw two weeks ago that piece of human garbage known as Dean Ambrose attacked Mick Foley like a rabid dog off its leash. Mick suffered a number of injuries including twenty stitches across the head, severely bruised ribs, a concussion and broken blood vessel in his eye and a hip injury to put the icing on top of the cake.. Mick against the advice of both myself and the doctors. Has agreed to meet the demands of Dean for a face to face here tonight. Now let me make this perfectly clear. If Dean Ambrose or that harlot try anything I got these fine men right here to stop any sort of attack.
Well with that said let’s get this show on the road as they say. Ladies and Gentleman it is more honor to present you “The Hardcore Icon” Mick Foley.
Mick Foley’s music hits and out comes the former WWE Champion. Mick takes a bit to get to the ring as he approaches the apron. Terry Funk comes to his aid and helps him into the ring. He helps him to his seat and the two of them are discussing something off mic as the music still echoes. The music finally does stop and we can see Terry pick up the mic again.
Terry Funk: Alright punk, here he is wherever you are come out and show yourself coward!
Funk’s words are cut off as we hear Ambrose speaking.
Dean Ambrose: Funk You, I am not a coward!
The camera pans all around the arena to look for where Dean Ambrose is and we see Dean with AJ Lee on his side up high in the arena stands. He is staring down with menace in his eyes down at the ring.
Dean Ambrose: I told you, I told everyone this isn’t about making a statement, this isn’t about trying to get my name in the lights, this is about justice. Mick two weeks ago, that was not the first time we met. You should of seen it coming Mick. I made this whole thing very clear to you a few months ago.
Terry Funk: What the hell are you talking about boy? You wanted your time, You wanted your face to face well get down here and face him like a man.
Dean smirked as he shakes his head. He mocks Foley hitting his head on the mic as in the ring you can see Mick putting something together.
Mick Foley: I remember you now.
Dean Ambrose: And there we go, you are putting the pieces together now aren’t you? I mean I suppose it shouldn’t be a surprise it took you this long. I mean how many concussions have you had now Mick? Fifteen, Twenty, Thirty? It’s a miracle that you can even form sentences let alone still be standing. And I can see all of you in this arena, have no idea what I am talking about? I guess those dirt sheets don’t get all around do they? It’s alright, I put together a little video for you.
(Please pretend this is from WM Weekend 2009)
As the video ends we now see that Dean and AJ have made their way to the ringside barricade and the two of them hop over and walk around the ring.
Mick Foley: Dean I asked you at that What does accountable even mean? How am I to blame? Do you think I don’t care about what happen to those kids? Do you think I am just some cold callous villain?
Dean Ambrose: No, Don’t you dare play the fool, You are better than that Mick! You don’t get to pass the buck. You don’t get to sit idle and act as if everything is ok. That I am in the wrong. I am the honorable man here Mick. You are a liar, you are a false prophet. You are no different than guys like Hulk Hogan. Telling me to take my vitamins, to say my prayers to always do the right thing. When in the end he stuck a needle in his ass to take the short cut. At least he had the decency to show his true colors when he turned his back on the red and yellow. You are just a yellow belly. You come out here and make these people believe you are a literal God!
You are out here getting these people to elect you Time’s Man Of The Year!
Dean pauses as the crowd chants Foley is God!
Dean Ambrose walks up the steps aiming the mic to the crowd as they continue the chat. Dean finally has entered the ring and the guards are tensing up. AJ Lee whispers something to him and he nods.
Dean Ambrose: AJ you are so right. This is exactly what I mean.
Dean is talking over the guards now at Mick Foley. He is looking him dead in the eyes.
Dean Ambrose: How can you call yourself a man Mick? How can you let these people call you a God? What kind of man allows his wife and his kids to watch as daddy gets thrown off the top of a cell? What kind of man allows his children to think its ok for a living daddy to get cracked in a skull with a steel chair?
Mick Foley’s demeanor changes as he screams in the mic barley able to get to his two feet.
Mick Foley: Don’t you dare talk about my kids!
This is an almost primal scream by Mick Foley and a nerve has now been hit.
Dean Ambrose: If what I am saying isn’t true explain to me the two of you in 1999 with Beyond The Mat Mick! How many times throughout your hall of fame career did that same scene playout where you had to console your crying kids? How much has it screwed up your precious babygirl Noelle? How do you explain to your young son why a crowd much like this is chanting to cane Dewey?
Mick Foley now livid and through the injuries he has now pushed through the guards and you can see them holding him back.
Mick Foley: Son Of A B****, I told you to keep my kids' names out of your mouth.
Mick has now blown past the guards and Dean slides out of the ring. The guards grab Mick Foley and restrain him in the corner. Foley fights out of it, taking the guards out one by one as Dean looks on waiting. It seems like Dean is just looking for that moment.
Mick Foley: Make the match, Terry.
Terry Funk looks uneasy; he can see the anger in Mick’s eyes.
Terry Funk: I can’t Mick! I won’t…
Foley applies the Mandible Claw to Funk!
Dean looks on in shock almost.
Mick Foley: Make the match!
You can see Funk starting to fade as Mick grabs his head again.
Mick Foley:...
Terry Funk with heavy breath speaks.
Terry Funk: You got it.
Foley lets him go and charges straight at Dean the two of them are now trading shots up the ramp. AJ jumps onto Mick’s back and is trying to claw his eyes. Mick with a big punch sends Dean to the ground. Mick flips AJ over and Mandible Claw! Mick Foley is possessed and he’s chasing Ambrose off to the backstage area as we go off the air.
Really like the way you're including some old school ECW talents into this new version of ECW. Nice to see Diamond and Swinger get a chance here, especially against The FBI. Good stuff.
Being that he is the future and that this might have been his first match, Barrett just had to win. Definitely the right call, and I'm okay with the six man tag you're seemingly building to with the aftermath. Hoping the segment later on with Barrett/Ezekiel almost having a moment is just a one off. Way to early for the awesome faction of The Ruthless Roundtable to be having extended issues. I am enjoying the Big Zeke opening challenge each week though, although I do worry that with the small roster, you might genuinely run out of challengers.
Paul Burchill? Eh, never really saw the appeal tbh.
Ambrose is obviously off to a hell of a start in here. Very entertaining and interesting. The pairing with AJ is cool to because it just feels so different. I do look forward to her getting more mic time to help develop further chemistry between the two of them at some point. The Ambrose/Foley stuff here playing off the video, the hound of justice gimmick, it's all very good. I would have preferred intense Foley and I could have down without Funk getting the Mandible Claw, especially considering Funk most likely would not be able to talk and book the match well it's applied. I'm also hoping Ambrose destroys Funk at some point for putting his hands on him after the initial attack on Foley.
This is off to an extremely promising start. Really enjoying this so far.
Welcome to another episode of ECW live from Philadelphia. We are greeted by Joey Styles, Byron Saxton and Josh Matthews who remind us that in tonight's Main Event William Regal of The Ruthless Roundtable will face off against the resident super hero of ECW, The Hurricane. If The Hurricane wins, he will move on to face ECW Champion King Ezekiel at Hostile Takeover. Byron tells us that's not all as tonight Shelton Benjamin returns and he is set to face one of the brightest new superstars in ECW Curtis Axel. However first we open the show off with tag team action.
Abraham Washington's voice cuts in and out he walks onto the stage to boos.
AW: If you should be booing anyone it should be yourselves. Yeah that's right, Boo… Boo.. boo.. Your damn selves.
There is another set of boos as AW steps a bit back from the stage.
AW: David Otunga and Percy Watson debuted a few weeks back and I have to tell you that the stock of AW Promotions have gone sky high baby. I've been getting calls already for sponsors to get on the ground floor of the brand before we go nationwide. Showtime how do you feel baby?
“Showtime" Percy Watson with a smog over the top smile steps forward.
Percy Watson: Oh Yeah! I see what you mean AW! Looking out in this crowd all I see is haters! You are all jealous that you ain’t as fine, ain’t as gifted as your boy is. It's quite sad really, this is the place of brotherly love is it not? I can see why your eagles chose green, because they are all filled with envy! We are going to the very top of this tag team division. So get used to seeing these arms raised high and these faces with smiles shining so bright. Oh yeah!
Watson dances around AW. Otunga steps up now in a grey hoodie jacket open he’s admiring himself before sliding his sunglasses to the bridge of his nose.
AW: This man looks like he was made from stone. He should be hanging high in a art gallery. The beauty and the brains. Hollywood Goddess wife with pipes that make Aretha praise some R-E-S-P-E-C-T- to her name. This man has now twice been to the White House. He has a degree from Harvard.
David Otunga: Stop AW you're making me blush. My man Percy is right, all these haters in this arena because they will never have half the things we got. Money, Power, The Fame. We are a brand on the rise that is the truth.
“Trophy Husband” The fans start to chant as Otunga just shakes his head.
David Otunga: You are all just proving our point.
AW starts to cover Otunga’s ears and they start to make their way to the ring. AW continues to yell at the fans that they are envious as they await the first match of the night.
Match One: AW Promotions (Otunga & Watson) vs.Danny Doring & CW Anderson
End Of Match:
The match started out with the fans still hounding the two clients of Abraham Washington. Otunga is in control, grabbing Doring and sending him into the ropes before lifting him up and sending him throat first off the top rope.
Otunga takes a moment to pose before tagging in Watson who clubs Doring in the back of the neck. Watson takes Doring, sends him into the ropes and hits a perfect dropkick. Abraham Washington on the outside with mic screaming the praises of the duo. He says even Mr. Perfect would be jealous of that dropkick.
Watson does a dance before screaming Oh Yeah and dropping elbow! He goes for a pin with a big smile on his face. Doring gets his shoulder up at two and reverses an attack by Watson which shuts up Washington on the outside.
Doring with a European Uppercut that sends Watson back to the corner. CW Anderson tags in and the two of them work on the arm of Watson with a series of quick tags.

Washington jumps on the apron and insults CW Anderson who goes ahead and punches Washington in the mouth sending him to the outside. Otunga from behind pulls out Doring and hits a wicked clothesline.
Watson grabs CW Anderson and drops him with a dragon suplex before tagging in Otunga who lifts Anderson up with a One Hand Spinebuster and Watson catches it into a Reverse DDT combo. Washington back on the outside calls it the Seal Of Approval.
Otunga with the cover and this one is over!
Winners: AW Promotions by Pinfall
Otunga and Watson get their arms lifted high by Abraham Washington as the duo kick Anderson out the ring. Doring is starting to come to it as Otunga rolls out of the ring grabs him and hits the One Armed Spinebuster into the guardrail.
We are back from break as we are now backstage where Terry Funk is seen walking out of his office he is stopped by Scott Stanford who ask for a word.
Scott Stanford: Last Week Mr. Funk we saw a side of Mick Foley that we haven’t seen in years. You made the match for Mick Foley vs. “Hound Of Justice” Dean Ambrose at Hostile Takeover.
Terry Funk: You ‘re absolutely right Scott, this is a side of Mick we haven’t seen in years. You know these new generation kids think they can make an example of us old outlaws. You see that’s where they got it wrong. We are no old dogs being taken to the woodshed. Dean well, I think he's in for an ass whooping his daddy should've given him when he was younger. I saw in the eyes of Mick something that Dean should be afraid of. I saw the man that I went to war with in Japan. I saw a man who isn't afraid to grab Dean and drag him to hell. Ambrose may think this is what he wants; I am here to tell you that boy is in for a beating.
Now was that all you wanted to ask, Mr. Stanford?
Scott Stanford: Well we just saw AW Promotions David Otunga & Percy Watson pick up a victory just a few minutes ago. What can you tell us about the future of the ECW Tag Team Invitational and ECW Tag Team Championship?
Terry Funk: Ah yes, ECW Tag Team division does seem to be picking up! All the horses however have not reached the starting gate. While I don't condone the actions, of what Mr. Washington's clients did post match. I do have to give them their paid dues. The ECW Tag Team Championship….
Abraham Washington comes onto the screen with his clients by his side. AW readjust his suit and holds his hands out.
Abraham Washington: And they said you had a few to many shots to the head Terry! Here you are ready to crown AW Promotions the new ECW Tag Team Champions.
AW awaits for the titles to be handed to him. There is an awkward pause before Terry speak.
Terry Funk: Boy have you lost your damn mind? Do you think I would really just hand the titles over? Before you rudely intruded, I was going to say that the ECW Tag Team Championship will be crowned at Hostile Takeover in a good Ole fashion Tag Team Turmoil Match! Four Tag Teams will compete, and yes Mr. Washington I am giving you the opportunity to be in this match. I heard you want to showcase your clients, well I am going to give you just that. You will be the first team to compete. Now as for others in the match. The Full Blooded Italians are in and so is Hawkins & Beretta! Next week the final tag team will qualify.
AW takes offense to that and goes to speak but, Terry Funk walks off as head to another break.
Match Two: Shelton Benjamin vs. Curtis Axel
End Of Match:
The match has been back and forth as the two technical wrestling styles have left each man trying to counter each other. Benjamin is in control right now and has Axel in the corner. Benjamin looks for a monkey flip, Axel is able to land on his feet and sends Benjamin into that corner.
Benjamin quick as leaps up on the top turnbuckle, and he comes back with a clothesline to Axel. Benjamin drops for the cover and only gets a two count. Benjamin continues his offense, sending Axel to the outside. Benjamin awaits for Axel to get to his feet cross body to Axel ringside.
Benjamin slaps the fans hands, sends Axel back inside the ring and Benjamin is in full control. Benjamin slingshot back into the ring looks for another clothesline. Axel ducks it and comes back with a neckbreaker.
Axel goes for cover only getting a one. Axel keeps the attack going sending, Benjamin to the corner Axel with a big splash. Axel puts Benjamin on the top turnbuckle he is looking for a superplex. Axel has his arm raised high and as that happens Benjamin comes to it. Benjamin seems defeated as Axel approaches him. Axel extends his hand to shake, Benjamin slowly gets to his feet. He looks at Axel before bumping right past him as he walks out of the ring. Benjamin looks defeated, his head down low as Axel looks on, dissatisfied as we go to break.
Picking up as we return to ECW, the cameras pan to the locker room as Shelton Benjamin is asked for an interview. Scott Stanford approaches him, however a frustrated Benjamin tells him no comment and to back off slamming the locker. Scott Stanford walls off and Shelton Benjamin sits on a bench his head held down. The door to the locker room opens up, we hear Shelton yell as suddenly on the screen comes a man that ECW fans remember very well. He is wearing a black and yellow striped shirt with a black hat and a whistle around his neck. The crowd pops as Bill Alfonso is on the screen face to face with Shelton Benjamin.
Bill Alfonso: Look daddy I get tonight nothing I can say is probably going to get through to you but, I just wanted to introduce myself. I know you are frustrated. So this is all I am going to say. I have a gym nearby here, and if you want to stop by there an open invite. Come on kid.
Alfonso leaves a card that says Champion's Gym on the bench before walking off. Shelton brushes it off and after Bill leaves he grabs it as we go to the back where The Ruthless Roundtable are making their way into their personal locker room.
King Ezekiel has the ECW Championship on his massive shoulder as his usual wrestling attire is traded in for a black suit with a red collar shirt. “Lord” Wade Barrett matches it with a red rose tucked in near his heart as William Regal is seen tapping up his wrist.
King Ezekiel: Tonight we take the resident super hero of ECW and bring him back to reality. It would be a mockery of my talent and this Championship that at the first ever PPV of the new ECW Era, I would have to defend this against The Hurricane.
Wade Barrett: That travesty will never come to pass. Mr. Regal is going to destroy him here tonight. The Ruthless Roundtable I agree with you King Ezekiel will not be made a mockery of. Goldust & The Hurricane, is this really the best ECW has to offer? This is quite the embarrassing display.
William Regal finishes his wrist tape and turns to both men.
William Regal: The Ruthless Roundtable are just getting started, and I took both you men under my wing to teach you. While we do hold the gold, we still have much to learn. What I do tonight in that ring to The Hurricane will be a lesson.
King Ezekiel: What would that be?
William Regal: Being men of our word. We do what we say we are going to do. No matter the cost.
Regal grabs his jacket and makes his way out of the locker room with Wade Barrett. King Ezekiel places the championship on his shoulder and huffs as we head to our final break.
Back from back, we are greeted to the sounds of The Hurricane's music as the crowd gives a nice pop to ECW resident superhero.. The Hurricane is not alone though, he is being followed by Goldust & Yoshi Tastu.
The Hurricane poses on the top turnbuckle before awaiting William Regal. The Ruthless Roundtable are out next, the three men are being booed by ECW faithful. Joey Styles says King Ezekiel's reign as champion has been nothing short of dominant. Saxton claims that if he continues on this road that he could be compared to the greats of ECW's past. Mike Awesome & Rhinos names both come into play. Josh Matthews responds saying that King Ezekiel hopes his trusted advisor can defeat The Hurricane. King Ezekiel wants nothing to do with him and sees him far and none beneath him. They all agree The Ruthless Roundtable shouldn't make light of him.
The Hurricane's eyes glance at the ECW Championship. King Ezekiel pays him no attention. He turns his back on him and lifts the title towards the crowd. The Hurricane is mouthing something as Regal attacks him from behind and the bell rings.
Main Event: William Regal w/ The Ruthless Roundtable vs. The Hurricane w/Yoshi Tastu & Goldust
If Regal loses, The Hurricane earns a shot at Hostile Takeover for the ECW Championship.
End Of Match:
The early attack before the bell, leaves The Hurricane still in a disadvantage as we pick up about eight minutes into our main Event. The entourage that each man has brought to the ring have kept things fairly even throughout the match. The Hurricane is trying to battle back with a series of strikes, a kick in the gut followed by a double leg takedown by Regal ends that.
Regal is keeping the match a ground and pound working on the limbs of The Hurricane. The Hurricane crawls to the ropes and finally is able to catch his breath as he rolls to the outside. King Ezekiel is standing in front of him with his back turn. He doesn’t even acknowledge The Hurricane stepping over him to mouth at the crowd.
The disrespect by the ECW Champion is evident here tonight. Regal rolls to the outside and grabs The Hurricane attempting to toss him back into the ring. The Hurricane reverses it, sending Regal into the guardrail.
The Hurricane continues his attack on Regal grabbing him and slamming his back into the rail a few more times. The Hurricane sends Regal back into the ring and climbs to the top rope. Regal back on his feet turns into a cross body by The Hurricane who quickly covers and gets a near fall.
King Ezekiel's attention has now turned to the ring for the first time in the match. The Hurricane keeps his offense going with Goldust & Tastu on the outside slapping the mat.
The Hurricane sends Regal off the ropes and “Lord” Wade Barrett pulls him to the outside. The two start discussing strategy, however Goldust & Yoshi Tastu come over and all hell is starting to break loose. The four men are yelling at one another until finally King Ezekiel comes over taking them both out with a clothesline.
The Ruthless Roundtable are standing tall, just as that is said the camera pans up to the top turnbuckle where The Hurricane is perched on the top rope. The Hurricane flies to the outside hitting another crossbody taking out all three men.
Regal is tossed back into the ring, the bodies all sprawled out across the ringside. The Hurricane is calling for a Shining Wizard. Regal catches him and is looking for a Regal-Plex.
The Hurricane fights out of it, grabs Regal for Eye Of The Hurricane. Regal reverses it again, sending The Hurricane into the turnbuckle. Regal pulls down his knee pad. He’s looking for the Knee Trembler!
The Hurricane side steps it. He is going for a school boy!

Josh Matthews states that The Hurricane has won the match, King Ezekiel has no one to blame but himself. King Ezekiel takes this out by picking up The Hurricane again and looks to toss him into the ring post once more.
Goldust and Yoshi Tastu are back up, they pull The Hurricane down and there's another brawl happening ringside. Hurricane and company are taking it to The Ruthless Roundtable, there's chaos everywhere as Barrett sends over into the crowd.
Goldust has Regal in the ring, he's looking for Shattered Dreams, he goes for it and King Ezekiel cuts him off lifting him up, he slams him hard down on the mat. King Ezekiel lets out a roar. He turns and is met with a series of right hands by The Hurricane. King Ezekiel gaining back control and grabs The Hurricane by the throat. He's looking for a chokeslam. The Hurricane reverses it and connects with Eye Of The Hurricane. King Ezekiel has fallen in the middle of the ring. The Hurricane grabs the ECW Championship high as we end the show.
One of the focal points of this week episode of ECW was Shelton Benjamin coming up short again. The feeling backstage is that Shelton is still very much in the mix as a top guy in ECW and that pairing him with Bill Alfonso is also to help another young wrestler who will be debuting soon from FCW.
Another ECW PPV maybe in the works called Creative Control, a somewhat play on Hulk Hogan WCW contract. This will be similar to Cyber Sunday & Taboo Tuesday of years past.
There is word around backstage that the decision to go with The Hurricane vs. King Ezekiel is because Goldust maybe dealing with a shoulder injury.
Vance Archer impressed many backstage with his match couple weeks back and creative plans are now being pitched to push him in the up coming weeks.
Glad to see some updates in here. Bill Alfonso being used as a mouthpiece for Shelton is a pretty cool idea tbh. It's a strange alliance in a way, but based on Shelton's lack of general charisma, an over the top, whistle blowing psychopath like Alfonso is kind of perfect.
Not big on the Creative Control name for a PPV, tbh.
Hurricane/Ezekiel should be fun.
Another solid show with your latest though, looking forward to more.
