2019 was super awful my gosh was that year painful2017-2020 WWE was so bad that as a lifetime fan I stopped watching for five years. It wasn’t until the period we’re in right now got so good that I had to come back to the product. Even if you don’t like Cody Rhodes to act like the smackdown after Mania with Tama and Solo wasn’t fucking great storytelling is crazy.
Indeed. I’ve been watching WWE and WCW and TNA etc. all my life and 2019 made me finally say WWE wasn’t for me anymore. The survivor series last year sparked my interest to return and I’ve been back on board with WWE since the Royal Rumble.2019 was super awful my gosh was that year painful
Exactly. Even though Cody is probably my favorite thing in the WWE right now they’re firing on almost every cylinder. The Bayley and damage control storyline is going great. The bloodline is about to hit a new gear. Drew McIntyre and CM punk are about to have an all-time epic rivalry leading into the summer.I think even if you don't like Cody Rhodes or other main event stars rn, you can't deny that the marketing is so much better, and the fact they have healthy competition is driving up interest in wrestling.

I mean he's easily their biggest merchandise seller, by that metric he's undeniably the #1 guy in the company, and the booking and fan reactions prove it.Exactly. I’d say the first guy that’s been this over that the machine got behind and allowed to become more than just the most organic over guy since the attitude era because I would say CM punk and Daniel Bryan both had the potential for this type of organic rise but the machine didn’t get behind them. I mean that summer of Punk could have been epic if not kneecapped and Mania 30 was incredible. Just didn’t get a chance to blossom.I mean he's easily their biggest merchandise seller, by that metric he's undeniably the #1 guy in the company, and the booking and fan reactions prove it.
I haven't seen a guy this over since... well, the Attitude Era lol
WrestleMania XXX should have been Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk tbh.I’d say the first guy that’s been this over that the machine got behind and allowed to become more than just the most organic over guy since the attitude era because I would say CM punk and Daniel Bryan both had the potential for this type of organic rise but the machine didn’t get behind them. It really should have. Those two were two lightnings in a bottle that miraculously came at the same time. Similar to being lucky enough to have rock and Austin in the same era. If they built both up to be legit too guys at the same time, they could drawn monster houses and crescendoed at Mania.WrestleMania XXX should have been Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk tbh.
