Who Killed WCW? - Vice Series

I’m glad there’s some people here that understand that Jamie Kellner, who also killed a bunch of other businesses for Turner, once they made him the president of television is the one that ultimately killed WCW simply because he didn’t like wrestling on his channels. Nitro was still the number one rated programming on cable even at the end.

And the thing that nobody ever mentions that ultimately was the reason why WCW lost so much money in 2000 is because they stupidly canceled the third hour of nitro the first week of 2000. That’s where $40 million in advertising revenue was going.

Ric is as guilty of playing his part in the downfall of WCW as any of the other overpaid, older guys in the locker room, who didn't want to step out of the spotlight and/or played the politics game. I'm sure neither Bischoff nor anyone else from the office came to Ric one day and said "Hey man, we want David to being featured heavily in our program for the next couple of years"
