it's crazy how little records they kept back in the day, my Uncle by marriage was a black man who was born in Florida but back then they didn't keep records of black babies so he had no idea his birthday or if he was himself or his twin brother that died young...he just went by the name he liked better
yeah he was def in his 80s when he died and that was like over a decade or so ago
that's pretty awesome
also a crazy coincidence that no one knew the first two ancestors to come to America were two brother Jacob and Daniel Hovey, my full name is Jacob Daniel Hovey
and all these year later their lineage is a moderator on a message board that talks about wrestling
it's crazy to think of the hardships our ancestors went through to get here
since we aren't that old of a country
but old enough where it was motorless boats across the ocean
