Chris Masters has been a Superstars mainstay in recent months but he has been winning there and has looked impressive on the show. His matches against Tyler Reks have been surprisingly good and I just wonder if this will lead to something more. Definitely not before WrestleMania but after the PPV I can definitely see him getting a push on Smackdown. I do think that he should be in the Intercontinental title scene which currently seems to consist of the champion Kofi Kingston and that is it. Put Chris Masters in that division and if he starts to get the crowd behind him then give him the title.

What do you think of Masters? Should he be in the Intercontinental title scene? Should he be released?

I have been a fan of Masters since he returned and have wanted to see him involved in the Intercontinental title scene for some time. When he returned he was used as a jobber, apparently at his own request as he wanted to help push younger wrestlers, which I find strange considering Masters is only 28. If that's the case, he has paid his dues and as a result has been winning quite frequently on Superstars. If you're winning all the time on Superstars, that should be the catalyst to be used often on the brand you're signed to, in this case Smackdown, which I think is about to happen to Masters.

I read a month or two ago that the WWE were planning to push Masters, but it didn't look like it'd happen for a while there as Tyler Reks often had the upper hand over him. In recent weeks, Masters has beaten Reks over and over, so hopefully after Wrestlemania we see Masters used frequently on Smackdown and having a good go at the Intercontinental Championship. He has never won a championship in the WWE, which when you think about it is quite surprising as I'm pretty sure he used to be a main eventer around 2005/2006.

Anyway, hope Masters gets the opportunity and it sticks. I don't want to see him get a shot then is relegated back to Superstars every week.

It is surprising that he has never won a title in WWE. He was there for quite some time in his first run and like you said was involved in the mainevent scene for a bit. I can remember him being part of an Elimination Chamber match for the title a few years back and he was either the last or second to last person eliminated from the match.

I think that he is more than ready and over enough to be thrown into the Intercontinental title scene. He has been winning on Superstars and should now be used on Smackdown and not be relegated back to Superstars. Unfortunately now Superstars is used as a place for midcarders that have nothing to do on the brands rather than using it to continue feuds from RAW and Smackdown. He could be used much better on Smackdown and as I mentioned before there is no-one in the Intercontinental scene besides the champion and they could do worse then putting Masters in there. Plus with Kingston being buried completely by creative, have him drop the title to Masters.

That Elimination Chamber that he was a part of that you mentioned, Troy, was for the WWE Championship. That goes to show how highly "ranked" he was on RAW at one point, but eventually he would slide down the pecking order and was in contention for the Intercontinental Championship (when it was actually used properly), but he would never get that either.

Now he is back and hasn't had the same influence that he once had. He still has the impressive physique but has slimmed down since his first WWE run and it doesn't look like he's wearing a muscle suit anymore. He hasn't had much time, if any, on the mic but I remember his mic skills being pretty good. I really hope he gets a great run on Smackdown because I think he deserves it. At the moment we're jumping the gun a little bit as there are no signs of him actually being involved in the title scene other than him just winning frequently on Superstars.

If he was the next Intercontinental Champion, it would give hope to those who appear frequently on Superstars for either brand. It goes to show that if you work hard and give consistent performances, you to could get your opportunity. Masters would basically be the first success story of plying your trade on Superstars and being rewarded for your efforts.
