Film star Ewan McGregor takes a big shot from female MMA powerhouse Gina Carano on the set of 'Haywire'. Photo credit: PacificCoastNews.comFemale MMA powerhouse Gina Carano (7-1) took a hiatus from professional competition following her Aug. 2009 loss to Cristiane “Cyborg†Santos. During her time off from fighting women in the cage she has been fighting people like 39-year-old movie star Ewan McGregor in films such as the soon-to-be-released “Haywireâ€.
“Haywire†is an action flick directed by Steven Soderbergh, who is known for such films as “Ocean’s Elevenâ€, “Traffic†and “Erin Brokovichâ€. Along with Carano and McGregor, the “Haywire†cast also includes such well-known actors as Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, Bill Paxton and Channing Tatum. “Haywire†is scheduled for an April 22 release date.
