Shelton Benjamin wrestled a dark match before the Smackdown taping yesterday defeating Chavo Guerrero. He then wrote this;

pwinsider said:
Shelton Benjamin wrote: "just got home from a completely unexpected day. Got to see some friends i haven't seen in awhile. The WWE FANS. for now all i can say is i may or may not be returning to wwe, but tonight was a good time."

Sounds promising that he may be back in WWE. Whatever WWE think about him he could be a huge asset in a time where they struggle to fill the mainevent on RAW and Smackdown. I do hope that he is able to complete his commitments with ROH first as part of the WGTT. As much as I want Shelton to be a successful singles wrestler in WWE it would be even more awesome if WGTT return and completely revamp the WWE tag team division. That is highly doubtful but I can still dream.

Do you think Shelton will return? What brand would you like to see him on? What position on the card would you like him to be? Would you like to see WGTT return to WWE and bring the tag team division back to life?

As much as I'd like to see WGTT boost the tag team division, hopefully starting a revival, it's not going to happen. Benjamin may be good with the company but I'm pretty sure Haas is very sour towards the WWE. We all can dream... about the WWE once again having a decent tag division.

I'd love to see Benjamin back in the WWE, but I doubt he would achieve very much. He is 35 and I think his age would likely go against him, even though he is a fantastic athlete. I'd predict that if he did make a return, he'd be in Christian's position.

Do you think Shelton will return? It certainly looks that way.
What brand would you like to see him on? Smackdown, but I think he'd go to RAW.
What position on the card would you like him to be? Anything other than a jobber.
Would you like to see WGTT return to WWE and bring the tag team division back to life? Of course, would rather a better division overall than just one tag team holding it up though.

Yeah I don't see a WGTT return happening but if I was booking WWE I would bring them back and build a division around them.

One thing that the mainevent in WWE needs is more faces. Currently it seems like everyone would be best as a heel and that there aren't enough faces for the top heels to feud with. RAW certainly needs more big name faces so Shelton would be a good addition there. He is getting older but he is still athletic and would have at least five good years left in him if he can stay injury free. They need to use the Heyman method of booking, hide the negatives accentuate the positives. Focus on his athletic ability and wrestling skills and limit the amount of time he has on the mike.

I was a big supporter of Shelton Benjamin in the past, his last year in WWE I jumped of the Benjawagon for maineventers. Mostly because I gave up on him, since he wasn't used for anything other than MITB spots.

I will look forward to seeing him back in a WWE ring, I will keep my fingers crossed for him too.

I really hope he comes back. I was pissed off that he got fired. Who cares if they have nothing for him. Keep him on the roster and don't let him go to TNA. I just can't believe he was let go and guys like Primo, Hornswoggle, and Kozlov still have jobs.

Well Primo is pretty talented but they just seem to have nothing to do for him either. So I could understand Primo being on the roster. Kozlov isn't the most entertaining but he is also pretty good in the ring and his pairing with Santino showed that Kozlov can be an entertaining kind of guy if he was allowed. the "Little Bastard" drop him.

But back on topic... Shelton... if he were to return to WWE that would be a nice touch but I doubt he'd be maineventing until maybe the summer if he were to come back really soon. And if he were to... he'd have to come back on Smackdown to have a chance cause Raw is dominated by the super face known as JOHN CENA! And he just wouldn't fit on Raw even though that would be a definite place for him to shine. Plus also Smackdown is built more around the talent of guys unlike Raw which is built more around talking and storylines.

And as far as bringing back the WGTT... I feel there is nothing that could resurrect the tag team division in WWE. It's been shat upon so many times and so badly that it would need a complete revamping from bottom to top. And just bringing in one established team isn't gonna fix it. Plus they completely screwed over Charlie Haas to the point he isn't really relevant in WWE.

But Shelton in WWE overall would be nice, but sadly it wouldn't be that huge of a deal in the end unless they really try to capitalize and build on his strengths.

I was a huge Benjamin fan and loved his in ring work and athleticism. I think that he could do well as a Main Event filler, who often appears in the ME but doesn't make win a title or anything like that- that's if he put's all his effort in (i.e. stuff like his match with taker in 09)

As for WGTT? I never watched WWE around that time so can't comment.

I hope for ROH's sake than Shelton doesn't return after the talent they have lost in recent years they could do with a name like him.

If Benjamin does go back, I am not against a return of TWGTT, just because WWE's Tag Division could use them, and I have lost all faith in WWE to push him sucessfully as a singles wrestler. Once upon a time it looked like he would become a major star, but those days seem a very long time ago.
