Since a short time ago when Jericho returned to SAVE_US we have seen his career taken to new levels. He returned as the same loveable Y2J we had always known. Over the past months Jericho has managed to completely reinvent himself into a gimmick we have never seen him portray before. In my opinion (and most people's I think) Jericho has been doing an absolutely brilliant job.
When both Orton and Cena were shelved with their respective injuries it was Jericho who stepped up to the plate and worked one of the best angles we had seen in recent years.
Let's get down to the point... although Jericho is obviously one of the top heels in the company and one of the best to ever step in the ring it seems that WWE has not yet entrusted him to completely carry a show by himself. Guys like Orton and Edge have each been given the duty of carrying a brand as top heel. Although Jericho is a pretty frequent site in the main event it doesn't seem as if WWE has fully pulled the trigger and kept him there. I would really love to see Jericho moved over to Smackdown come the draft and really be given a chance to work as top heel on a brand consistantly. Every story line this guy touches seems to turn to gold lately...even when working with broken down legends. He's got some of the best mic work in the business and the charisma to transition with ease between face and heel.

So what do you guys think? Has Jericho TRULY been given his time to shine at the top of a brand for long enough? Do you think Jericho deserves the chance to see if a brand can truly be "______ IS JERICHO!"

Hypocrites and sycophants need not reply..:)

I actually think Jericho carried Raw for most part of 2008. His feud with HBK monopolized Raw going into Unforgiven, and since then to the return of John Cena, Raw was mostly built around him.

Since John cenas return at survivor series he has not been in the limelight like Orton and Jericho has. Jericho has cut the best heel promos of his life and as the 2008 superstar of the year award it went to the right guy.

Chris Jericho will be remembered as a legend. There's nothing he can't do. There really are no bad Jericho matches. After WM he should be given a 5-6 month uninterrupted WWE title run.

...Culminating in a 2 or 3 match fued with Taker where he doesn't lose until a HIAC blow-out match.

BOOK IT!!! :y:

I love Jericho, but he does look like a gay waiter at the moment. I know it's his intention to look nothing like he did before he left, but still.

Jericho IMO is one of the biggest talents in the WWE. His new character is great, I think that a title run is in the cards in the next few months. I honestly would like to see him in a feud with CM Punk. WIth Jericho winning the WHC and Pubk winning MiTB and having a 2-3 month building feud with Punk eventually usuing MiTB during the summer sometime, Give the fans something new, not the usualy Cena/Edge or Cena/Orton or Cena/....everyone else haha. Build up Punk as a legit main eventer. His short title run was IMO unexpected and rushed.

Chris Jericho is hands down the best thing in the WWE right now and has been for many, many months. Who cares if he's the 'top heel' on a brand. He is the BEST heel, and he's the fucking man. He's so damn perfect and flawless on the mic. Edge is probably just as good, but it depends who he's working with and when, etc. Both awesome. And you're probably right, Jericho will almost assuredly move to SD in the draft.

THIS.

1 thing though, although he's the best, this "hypocrites" gimmick is sort of just the same thing over and over at this point. After this legends feud blows over, he needs to turn face by SummerSlam. There's not much more he can do at this point as a bad guy. The creative team is going to have to come up with a creative way to get him back to "Y2J" though...

I'm sick of him saying hypocrites, but turning Jericho heel would leave Raw with only Orton, and as we all know, face vs face feuds (with a few exceptions) suck.

Guess we'll see with the draft.

He's been a heel less tha a year.... You can't just flip everyone on the roster from heel to face every 6 months. The characters need to embed themselves into the fans psyche for a decent amount of time otherwise the eventual heel/face turn is like "mehhhh".

I don't get why all of a sudden peeps are sick of hearing Y2J call the fans "hypocrites"... Dibiase called the fans "Nickle & Dime Pee-ons" continually for his entire run... Hogan: "Hulkamaniacs"... Think of it how you like... It's not Y2Js gimmick it's just a trait of his character - He sees the fans as hypocrites... In reality you're not gonna take the time to think up a new expression for it every time you need to refer to the target of you scorn are you?

+ there's loads of good looking fueds still available to him as a heel.

IMO Y2Js menu for the year should consists of a decent length world title run taking frustrating the likes of Punk, MVP, Mysterio, maybe Jeff Hardy, Christian and eventually dropping the strap to Taker whilst getting the upperhand on him at least once (Subject to draft and who's on what show). As some have said, I'd like to see him as the top heel on SD, but with the top guys on each brand being heels something's gotta give....

That said, I'd like to see him clash with Edge at some point.... That shit woud be epiiiic!

Jericho should stay on Raw, other then Orton there are no real credible heels in the main event with the exception on Mizorrison from time to time. If anything is to change he should be put into a feud with CM Punk, I could see him insulting the fans in Chicago and having Punk doing his whole "hometown" boy schtick or however it is that you spell it. That would be nice, what I think would be gold is if they turned Punk heel (Which with the WWE I am about 90% sure won't happen) and have him use is "I am Straight Edge, I am better then you" deal with a face Y2J doing the whole Y2J character. That Is what I wanted when they brought him back, but it never happened and wont happen since I think Jericho will be heel for the majority of 2009.

I'm one of the biggest Jericho fans, but why SHOULD he carry a show? You say how Edge and Orton are carrying their shows, but that's because they're the elite of WWE. Jericho is a great main eventer, but he should not be carrying the show.
I agree WWE hasn't handed him the reigns, noo one can argue that, because they haven't, but I'm actually glad they haven't.
I'd rather the face of WWE heels like Edge and Orton carry the shows than a 38 year old man, and this is coming from a huge Jericho fan!
