The BTB Lounge

Is it even necessary anymore? There's only one active thread (the Chat Room) and two semi-active ones (The Yearbook + Classifieds) and they're all stickies which couold be easily placed in the main section. Threads aren't even posted in here, so I pose the question to my fellow bookers: Is the BTB Lounge still necessary?

I was just thinking this, even the stickied threads are barely posted in, lookin in the bookers chatroom, on the current page it has posts from 1 week ago which shows that even the sub sections most popular thread is inactive, we don't need it, just take the bookers chatroom and yearbook if its still going ahead and throw it in the main section. Classified thread can be merged and people looking for partners can just ask in the chatroom imo.

Not necessary IMO. The Chatroom is barely posted in and it is the only active thread, so I think we could just get rid of the Lounge and sticky the Chat Room into the regular BTB section. Pretty much re-iterating what Lennie said tbh.

The BTB Lounge was lacking even when I used to book. There used to be no BTB Lounge, the Booker Chat thread was in the main section until everyone started advertising their BTB in it which then became the Advertise thread. They then wanted a lounge so they could chat amongst themselves, but how much do you really need to talk about in BTB? You only do need one thread.

What do you propose should be done with ...this entire section? lol

The reason is no longer needed is because nobody does anymore the things for what the Lounge was created on the first times. There are no more columns, no more "Ask me" threads, etc...

Because of the rules you set in place, nobody sees the point if they have to ask the mod who may just say no. Anyway, not needed. Oh and we should get a new chat room if the section does get merged. Otherwise then yeah.

Instead of having it as a lounge, make it a BTB resources section. Here is some ideas.

1. Rosters for companies and certain years.

2. Links of wrestlers matches and promos on youtube to help people out with some stars that aren't well known but they might want to use.

3. A Graphics Request thread just for BTB. Where we can request posters, match previews and other things.

4. A page of wrestler's themes songs because some people like to use them.

There will be other stuff thought off by others that people might need at the beginning that I can't think of right now.

This will be an easy resource for new bookers to use instead of asking people all the time where this stuff is when they start. It might also help some people become more active (like myself) just by starting it up and therefore breath in some new life to the section.

I like a few of those ideas; not all because the majority of them like Entrances are not only easily found if you bothered to look but are even found in a thread in the main section I can't remember (think the rules one.)

Still it wouldn't be bad. But I don't see why it would need a whole section jsut a thread with information and recourses.

Those aren't bad ideas at all. The GFX one might become tricky though because most GFX'ers stay in the GFX sections, so they might not see them if they never go into the BTB section.

but we do have a couple of people that could do a poster or a logo here and there like yourself if you are not busy one weekend and a few others that do BTB's and can do a graphic or two.
