- WWE officials worked hard this past weekend to make sure the fact that Edge was going to be working both Elimination Chamber matches and winning the World Heavyweight Title didn’t leak to the internet. Vince McMahon was furious that word got out that Christian Cage was supposed to play the role of the guy who attacked Jeff Hardy all those times, which led to Matt Hardy getting Christian’s spot on SmackDown.

To make sure nobody on the WWE crew knew what was going to happen, they put a huge tarp over the Elimination Chamber on Sunday afternoon so nobody else in the building could see the WWE Superstars in the ring planning out the matches.

Damn. Next time I sneak into the arena to spoil the event for myself I'll have to remember to bring my x-ray goggles.

Lol, I love how desperate they are to keep stories from leaking. Maybe we should just crawl into caves and only come out when wrestling is on. Maybe then we won't have such things spoiled for us as who was behind the "break the code" videos!

Oh, wait, common sense spoiled that one for us. :shifty:

Vince and Steph astound me. They go insane when stuff is spoiled and even change things around to much worse ideas. Why? All it does is annoy the people who really liked the original plan, and everyone else is indifferent either way. :disgust1:

Roxxi, how much of a fucking moron are you?
Do you expect wwe NOT to try to hide that? You're senseless wwe bashing is getting comical.
What would you like them to do? Announce it to the world?

If I were running the 'E, I'd rather not have my Pay-Per-View results spoiled before they even happened.

Is it as comical as your constant twisting my words has become? I hope so, because I find it hilarious. WWE can try to hide stuff all they want, but what I don't want is for Stephanie McMenstrual to blow a gasket and interrogate every employee while Vince orders the staff to rewrite everything. Again. The Christian idea was much better than this Matt one, but because the oh-so-evil insider websites spoiled it, we have to sit through this lesser story because... why? Because nobody would watch it if the 10% of the wrestling fans who follow spoiler sites found out about the plan ahead of time? If anything is comical here, it's the logic behind that.

Bottom line, WWE thinks it's somehow beneficial to scrap an awesome idea and replace it with a crappier one because heaven forbid 10% of the audience figures it out ahead of time through websites that are so often wrong nobody takes them seriously anyway. And idiocy of that calibur, my proverbial friend, is bashworthy.

The christian idea was a rumor, dumbass.
Just like the rumors of Hogan vs Cena, and Cena vs Batista, and Jericho vs Austin, etc.
You're saying wwe scrapped it because of it being leaked, but how would you know that? Because some loser on a "news site" says so?

Oh, and also, don't blame it on wwe.
Why wouldn' they change something that'e leaked?
If something is leaked, and they go through with it, it has no shock value, and everyone bitches.
Maybe people should stop trying to "spy" on wwe's storyliens all the time, and leaking it, and wwe wouldn't have to change it.

No, Roxxi is right, spoilers are great. That way, we can shit all over a show without seeing it just like he does

It's just like everything else internet journalists say, it's a guess. Sometimes they get lucky.

this is stupid. If they're worried about people spying on matches and leaking it out, then wouldn't we have detailed explanations of every match? or at least a clear winner and how?
