Apparently officials in WWE has interest in one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Robert Roode. Roode's current deal with TNA expires in either March or April of this year, according to Dave Meltzer.

How much will TNA be willing to give up to keep their top heel tag team and future TNA champ under contract? Meh, I say if he does go to WWE, JBL retires and becomes his manager. That'd be a perfect fit. JBL could work with him up his ladder of success in the E.

Either that or in a year or two when JBL either pisses off or goes back to commentary. He will become the new JBL much like Petey was the new Steiner. And in early WCW days the Giant (Big Show) was billed as the long lossed son of Andre the Giant.

lmao I dunno what that one has to do with anything but I thought I would put that fact in there.

I always though Roode woudl do much better in WWE than he would in TNA...There was a point when I thought Roode was going to make the leap to the main event in TNA, but he never did!

lolwut?

I don't want Roode leaving for WWE. Not yet. I atleast want him to feud for the World Championship one more time.

If he does go to the 'E send him, and JBL to ECW plz.

Roode would only possibly work into ECW he is a mid-carder at best in the WWE. He has the swagger for a pretty good heel in the WWE though. Possibly a US title run or something, I like him but idk if he would really fit in the WWE.

I think he would be a great fit in WWE. He's got a pretty good look, solid mic skills, solid ring skills, and who knows what his gimmick would be in the 'E? He could be a Face hockey player gimmick or something on Raw. (They can't send every new guy to ECW.)

Indeed. That's pretty much the function of ECW anyway isn't it; televised developmental... Also, if they're otherwise just gonna debut on Raw or SD then dissapear within a week or two, why the hell not? (Kizz-who?)

IMO as long as it get's a good crack of the whip in the draft and, as suggested somewhere above, move some of the jobbers with potential to the show, I think ECW could do with going 2 hours...

Kizza? >_>

If Roode leaves to WWE I'll be happy just because James Storm SHOULD get his rightful push. Knowing TNA, they'd still manage to screw him over somehow anyway.

i actually thought they had interest in james storm over robert roode...

I like robert roode.. He can cut promo's, work well in character. all he needs is age in his in-ring ability... but a great tag team wrestler...

Who now? aha.

Id like to see Roode as US Champion though.

WWE should try to snatch up both of them. Beer Money is probably the ONLY thing on TNA I actually enjoy. And I seriously mean that.
