So for weeks we have (apparently) been seeing promos promoting the upcoming debut of Brutus Magnus. Now either I haven't been paying attention and missed them or they haven't been playing in Australia. Either way, idk. Anyway, he was meant to be a big deal. Unfortunately, he looks far from a big deal.
He's meant to be a gladiator, so I was imagining someone massive. Instead, we get someone who is toned, yet skinny as all hell. He doesn't even have the gladiator look to begin with.
Then we see TNA's booking come into play. He wrestled Shark Boy, which is fair enough. Everyone has to start somewhere anbd squashing Sharky is a good place to start. But it didn't turn out exactly like a squash. Instead Shark Boy made a comeback before Magnus picked up the quick win with his finisher that looks like a Blue F-5. He says that's all you've got, declaring he is far too good for Sharky. Why then was Sharky allowed such offense? It seems incredibly stupid to me.
Not only that, but his promo was shithouse. This man needs a mouthpiece pronto. People can say, "OMGZ U HAS LIEK ONLY SEEN HIM SPEEEKZ ONCE~!" but oit really doesn't matter. When you yell everything, you're cutting a shithouse promo. It doesn't draw in the attention of anyone. His promo skills are almost non-existant.
For a hyped debut, this was a major letdown (much like TNA itself).
Thoughts?
