THE Brian Kendrick's Biceps

So for weeks we have (apparently) been seeing promos promoting the upcoming debut of Brutus Magnus. Now either I haven't been paying attention and missed them or they haven't been playing in Australia. Either way, idk. Anyway, he was meant to be a big deal. Unfortunately, he looks far from a big deal.

He's meant to be a gladiator, so I was imagining someone massive. Instead, we get someone who is toned, yet skinny as all hell. He doesn't even have the gladiator look to begin with.

Then we see TNA's booking come into play. He wrestled Shark Boy, which is fair enough. Everyone has to start somewhere anbd squashing Sharky is a good place to start. But it didn't turn out exactly like a squash. Instead Shark Boy made a comeback before Magnus picked up the quick win with his finisher that looks like a Blue F-5. He says that's all you've got, declaring he is far too good for Sharky. Why then was Sharky allowed such offense? It seems incredibly stupid to me.

Not only that, but his promo was shithouse. This man needs a mouthpiece pronto. People can say, "OMGZ U HAS LIEK ONLY SEEN HIM SPEEEKZ ONCE~!" but oit really doesn't matter. When you yell everything, you're cutting a shithouse promo. It doesn't draw in the attention of anyone. His promo skills are almost non-existant.

For a hyped debut, this was a major letdown (much like TNA itself).

Thoughts?

I saw it yeah, ok his match was alright but lets be honest hes big he will get over. he is big crap on the microphone so he will make it in tna then. Give him time he will probably improve and be amongst the main eventers soon.

Wasn't this the same speech TNA fans said when talking about Matt Morgan?

The guy looks like a complete joke, and it just shows TNA has no idea how to build talent like him. I have a feeling he is goona be one of them guys you hate to watch because his gimmick doesnt fit at all

If he's in the main event soon, TNA will be worse off than WCW in 2000.

Sharky is awesome, they couldn't let the match go on without giving him offence :D

The guy didn't really seem to impressive for the build they gave him though, I don't see him doing to much because he really doesn't deserve to do much. There are other guys that could/should be pushed before him, this guy should have been jobbing to Sharky!

When I saw the title I was praying for it to be Christopher Daniels.

Won't be seeing that for a while :(

That sounds like the Ultimate Warrior. :shifty:

TNA just can't pull off gimmick characters.

How does that show that TNA doesn't know how to build talent, when the guys only had one match?

But as for him, I was expecting something better, but maybe we will see something when he goes into his 1st feud. I was expecting something big when they kept hyping his finisher, that was a disapointment though.

He should have been Suicide and get Daniels out of there.

Honestly, I think it's just a case of overhyping. His matches are good and his mic skills are average. Basically, if you want a generally passable wrestler, you've got one in him. What they need to do is give him a finisher that doesn't suck, and then we'll just see how much effort he puts into it. He's got the body (though 'gladiator' is a bit much), and he's got that British accent that makes an instant heel of any wrestler, so all that's up in the air is the matter of his initiative.
