So in the last 2 years Cm Punk has become an ecw champion, tag team champion, wwe champion and the intercontinental champion. He is a face that is well over and selling t shirts and is a good wrestler. Although i prefer the Roh Cm Punk instead of this mix martial arts guy. He was more free there and he didn't do kick, kick, spin punch and kick. Mind you if done correctly and timed right it can actually look good. But that's besides the point Cm punk has done it all in the wwe so far so what is next for him? A heel run on smackdown is a good deal in the draft but heel on raw is ok to. As a world champion. I know hes been a world champion and to some people didn't suceed well but if booked right on smackdown as a heel he could be the wwe's mvp (no pun). With smackdown being the "WRESTLING" show i think he is suited there. I like the cm punk vs benjamin/morrison matches thye ahd on smackdown last year. So who will he face for the ic title? And what do you guys think he will do next?

I'm sick of his over rated ass. No matter what he does, everyone (almost) says its good/great. He's a great example of how when somebody succeeds, it was all them, but when they fail at something, the blame is always put on other people (booking). When he was World Champ, people always praised him even though his reign was shit, and then they blamed booking. And kept saying "if this was ROH Punk, he would have dominated". "He deserved this reign, he earned it" when he didn't. He got the tag title, and it was he's going to bring prestige to the title, he did nothing with the reign at all. Now he's IC champ, and a lot of people are saying he's matches with Regal were all great, when it was a full match of no selling. The hype people gave for this feud isn't living up to it at all. Then it was the "he's going to bring prestige back to the title" talk again. But since he's been champ, has he even won a match? The matches he's had aren't as big as people are making it out to be. But that's bookings fault as well too. I don't know why he's getting all these titles reigns. He lost the World title, went straight to the tag, lost that and went straight to the IC. He's title hoping ridiculously. Before I wanted him to stay away from the main event and work his way up the mid card, now I want to stay away from any titles period.

WWE booked themselves into a corner with Punk's reign. He wasn't ready, which was why he was booked so poorly. If they hadn't sacrificed MITB for unpredictability at Night of Champions, they would've had a chance to build Punk up into something credible.

Punk's WHC reign wasn't so much about Punk as it was about Edge being screwed... Karma for the way he has used his 2 MITB contracts (Well, that and getting a world title back on Raw).

As for the reign itself, no; it didn't set the world on fire, but it made sense.... Punk dominating Batista and such would have seemed rediculous. He got a job out of JBL and held his own (performance-wise) against the rest of the ME-ers he faced and came out of it in a better position, credibility-wise, than when he 'went in'....

I bet Jeff Hardy would have prefered the reign that Punk had (rather than the "we don't trust you with the ball"-kinda reign he had for all of 5 weeks.)

What's next for Punk? ...Midcard heels(*) challenging for the IC title (as long as WWE let him run with this OC reign and actually defend the damn thing).

(*Hopefully a PPV match with Regal... Kane, Knox, Diggler errrrrm.... Yet again I'm left seeing a Burchill-shaped whole in a roster.)

@ J-Bonez: Punk & Regal weren't "not selling"; it was a stiff match.

Regal Matches Are Stiff If You Pay Attention. I Think Punk Vs Regal Isn't Awesome But I Like It. Its Different I Think Punk Will Win Next Week On Raw Vs Regal In The Ic Title Rematch And Go Onto Fighting Kane Or Knox Over The Ic Title. Yeah His Title Reign As World Champion Wasn't Awesome But Thinking About It Who Has Had An Awesome Title Run? People Always Moan About Peoples Titles Reigns. Blame Booking My Friends And It Maybe The Easy Way Out But Cmon Guys Your Telling Me Batistas And Y2j S Run Was Crap At The End Of 2008.?

I honestly don't see much out of CM Punk this year. Last year was their year to sample him and really see how he performed in certain situations. It seems they've decided to put him the mid-card right now and since he's got some title history, let him carry the IC title for a bit. I'm sure we'll see him hold it on and off until around the summer.
Bottom line...unless Punk switches brands or makes a heel turn I don't think we're gonna see him go too much higher than where he is on RAW right now.
