The DL said Chikara, so that's what I was going by. Could be wrong.

For those who say that Chikara needs a major title, they do have the Campeones De Perajas, which are the tag team belts and serve as the biggest prize in the company, next to the Young Lions Cup, which is for any wrestler under the age of 25.

With the storylines, you really don't need a world title. Give the product a chance, you will never regret it.

Well what i said was "Although i really like the comedy/entertainment aspect; I need a belt. Its just tough to follow with just a mix of matches every show"

The keyword "I" need a belt. I know if Chikara came to Detroit, i would probably understand the storylines, and tournaments/cups situation better. But for a guy who follows the podcasts, and results i see different mix of talent and fueds in the main event slots. I don't know who's the top dogs in Chikara becuase it seems kinda like one show its this guy, the next he's on the bottom of the card. To me, its a fundamental part of wrestling. Building wrestlers to make a really big monster showdown. I don't feel Chikara does that well, to my taste.

I think the tag belts are great. I do like the concept of winning 3 matches and earning a shot. Its not that i don't like the product. Its more they would need to make some minor changes to peak my interest.

Delirous vs. Eddie Kingston

Interesting match-up. Can't recall ever seeing them go at it one-on-one. Brodie and Grizzly Redwood will make for one.... odd team. The ladder match between Equinox and Vin should be all kinds of awesome, as well as Quack and Jigsaw vs The Neo Solar Temple.

Damn good card for CHIKARA'S first show of the year.

This is why Chikara rules, among other things:

Oh and peep you might be talking about Human Tornado with the hurricanrana from the basketball goal because that's one of his signature moves:

Chikara is a fun time.

The Mexican/Japanese style makes for a high flying good time.

If there was one complaint, some of the students they let wrestle aren't ready for prime time.

But, that's to be expected.

Bad news for Aniversario Yang. Equinox suffered an ankle injury and he'll miss 4 weeks of action. Meaning, that he'll be out for this Sunday's show. There's still no word as to who will replace him.

Results from CHIKARA's Aniversario Yin

Preshow Notes:
Not much going on that’s noteworthy. Louden Noxious kicks off the Easton show in typical singing fashion, this time with a “Happy Birthday” song for CHIKARA in light of Aniversario weekend. New Podcast-a-Go-Go HD theme leads off the show; the crowd doesn’t enjoy it anywhere near as much as the old theme.

Jagged & Shane Matthews (2.0) vs. Hallowicked & Frightmare (Incoherence):
The quest for one point (again) stops short here in the rematch. No Brodie Lee to give 2.0 the upper hand means no victory for them as Hallowicked hits Jagged with the Rydeen Bomb for the victory. Fun opener.

Hydra vs. Grizzly Redwood:
Hydra entering the FunPlex to the lovely tones of Lady Gaga. The Grizz rolls up Hydra with some help from the ropes to get the quick win in a lighthearted competition.

Eddie Kingston vs. Create-A-Wrestler:
Kingston brings the pain in a big way, taking out his aggression on Create-a-Wrestler by bruising up his chest to a dark shade of purple early on. Kingston, as expected, gets the win with the spinning backfist, though CAW put up one hell of a fight and impressed the hot Easton crowd.

Helios & Lince Dorado (The Future Is Now) & Jigsaw vs. Chuck Taylor, Icarus & Gran Akuma (F.I.S.T.):
The biggest news of the night comes as F.I.S.T. enters the building, as it’s revealed that Icarus has added color to his tattoo and a nose piercing. Yeesh. The King of Trios champs reign supreme as Gran Akuma and Chuck Taylor pull off the “Dinner n’ Drinks” Yoshi Tonic/Sole Food on Jigsaw for the win. Great sprint with one hell of a dive by Helios.

Intermission.

Arik Cannon vs. Delirious:
Delirious comes out accompanied by the Order of the Neo-Solar Temple, wearing black and white gear to fit in with the rest of the crew. He also didn’t spaz out at the sound of the bell…strange. Mantis has the Eye of Tyr around his neck, clearly controlling Delirious throughout most of the match. The finish is a surprise, as Delirious hits Cannon with the Praying Mantis Bomb for the win. The Order has definitely found their third member!

STIGMA vs. Tim Donst:
The two men go to war with one another, including a DISGUSTING STO by STIGMA on the floor. Donst comes back later on with an STO of his own on the apron. A clearly brutal match all around, Donst taps out STIGMA with the CHIKARA Special. Better than what one would expect from these two.

Player Uno & Player Dos (Super Smash Bros.) & Fire Ant & Soldier Ant (The Colony) vs. Ophidian & Amasis (The Osirian Portal) & El Hijo del Ice Cream & Ice Cream Jr. (Los Ice Creams):
Great match early on, tons of fun spots all around. Crazy match with all eight men going all over the place doing insane stuff. Fire Ant pins one of the Ice Creams with a GI-Ant. Great match! After the match, Chuck Taylor came out wearing a Fire Ant shirt and one of the new replica Soldier Ant masks and lowblows Fire Ant while Icarus runs in and pedigrees Soldier Ant to get a leg up on tomorrow’s big mask vs. hair match.

Vin Gerard vs. Claudio Castagnoli:
Great neck-and-neck match that really established Vin as one of the top names of the company. Gerard gets the win over Claudio with some help from STIGMA, sealing the deal with a jackknife pin. Great show, see you tomorrow for “Aniversario Yang”!

All credit for the results goes to CHIKARAFans.
