^ To be fair, it could happen, but only really at Wrestlemania 26.

Heres how I think MVP's future will pan out:

Option A: MVP wins the Rumble, Goes on to Main Event WrestleMania & defeats either Edge/Jeff Hardy.

Option B: MVP begins a winning streak from now to WrestleMania, Wins MITB, Cashes it in against the World Heavyweight Champion and defeats whoever the champ is on the same night, Thus switching over to Raw.

Either way, I'd be happy.

Wait, so within like 4 months, a guy who has been on a 20 match losing streak will suddenly be world champ?

^^^^However (un)likely that WWE does this, there's no kayfaybe reason why not.

I'll reserve my judgement to see what happens over the coming weeks but, if all this ultimately leads to is what we saw on Friday's SD then this angle was pretty lame (although it did further prove the calibre of performer that MVP is... He was absolutely hilarious on the last VIP Lounge segment!)

Why? This angle is obviously leading to something big. That's pretty big imo. He's going to achieve something. You think he did all that for a US or ECW title reign? I don't think so.

He will not be switched from one severe end of the scale to another. Winning the Rumble and then at the ME at XXV or hitting a long-standing winning streak and then appearing at XXV in the ME defeats the purpose of a heavy losing streak.

From a developmental point of view, this losing streak is designed so MVP can execute a face turn and over the course of 2009 graduate to ME status. It's a long-term plan.

I'm not implying MVP will not be featured in any ME plans, period. But the character will need time to establish his face profile and his new persona is not going to be prematurely unleashed before WM.

I thought it was dumb how he got his win. Not that it was against Show, but that Triple H had to help him. For him to go on a losing streak for so long, losing to jobbers, and even local wrestlers, that he had to have help winning the match. I kinda figured that it would end that way when they started going up the ramp. I thought he should have gotten the win his self. It wouldn't have worked at a ppv because why would they have someone who hasn't won a match in "__" months compete at ppv? It wouldn't make since. (Why he was on the SS team is beyond me) Only ppv I think that would have worked would have been Wrestle Mania to be in the MitB.

Which by the way I think is what's going to happen. I think it's too early for him to go on and win the Rumble and a World title in just 2 months. They already just cashed in on a "Cinderalla Story" with Jeff. But I think a win streak is going to come out of this, maybe not as long as his losing streak but still a good streak, with him going into WM and winning the MitB. I doubt he'll be heel after all this because during his losing streak, he was getting cheered and getting a face reaction. There were even MVP chants going on in the crowd. So I see this going to a face MVP winning the MitB match.

^^^^A few points:

1. You usually have to qualify for MITB via matches on TV. So him ending his losing streak with a MITB win (or even qualifying for it) wouldn't make sense.

2. At the point of Survivor Series he was still trying to retain the terms of his mega-$s contract. If I'm not mistaken his 'chance' timed out the following Friday night.

3. Would you have REALLY 'believed' that after such a streak MVP could beat Big Show on his own?

4. MVP had been getting chants for a fair while before the streak (although like SD this week, they were blatantly from an older male contingent.... Pressumably SMARKS.)

Damn-it, why is it always you or CMS that finds something wrong with my post, every time. But on to the point.

1. As somebody said in another thread, when he qualifies for the MitB to keep his streak alive, it could end in a double DQ, double count-out, double something. And I didn't say that he would go into the MitB still on his losing streak, because if he did and won it, it'd be too soon for another Cinderalla story as they just cashed in with Hardy a month ago (I think)

2. I didn't watch SS so I didn't know that. And I thought that him trying to retain his "mega-$s contract" was already done by then, but aparently I'm wrong.

3. There are ways he could have won that match without Triple H. Just because he helped him that made it believable? MVP could have used a Sledgehammer and knockout out Big Show. He know he was having the match, he could have prepared his self. What didn't make it believable to me was how Big Show was knockout by a single sledgehammer shot after barely taking any damage from MVP in the match, when there has been others that take the shots roll around and get back up, or those that fall for a little but crawl/walk away in pain.

4. Thus the reason why I say I see a face run coming. He's been getting more cheers lately and he hasn't done anything to prevent that, hasn't done anything to get any type of heat, so I say that the longer this progresses, he'll be full fledge face, and win the MitB. And you assume that the chants this week were from smarks, but you don't know that for sure.

I think people are reading into this far too deeply. I don't think that MITB or the WWE Title will be coming anywhere near MVP's waist anytime soon. This whole angle is no doubt ending in a TRIAL face run for MVP. I say trial because obviously we don't know if the guy can pull off being a face. Honestly my bet is going to be no.
We've already got one "thug" face in the main event and that's Cena. I really don't see anyone but smarks accepting MVP as being a face for too long. And what else could they possibly do...bring him back to being a heel immediately to get him into the main event scene? You'll already have Edge, Christian, Kozlov and Big Show as main event heels...won't happen.
I'm sure he'll slowly move back up the card and the way WWE operates most likely by tagging with HHH a few times against an odd couple heel tag team. If he continues doing well we'll most likely see him shipped off to RAW after the draft.

Your sledgehammer theory has been ditched long time ago. The last victims of the sledgehammer have been Randy Orton (who lost the LMS that way), Chavo Guerrero (was pinned and 2 weeks ago was still selling the shot) Umaga (sold the thing for 3 weeks). You see, as of late, a sledgehammer attack has been sold high.

Let me remind you something. SD has now double tapings, so the chants we have been hearing for MVP, 2 out of 3 weeks, have been from the same crowd.

MVP shouldnt have defeated Big Show by himself. The champion, Jeff Hardy, didnt beat Big Show clean, and MVP, the man who has months and months losing, should have been able to beat the giant by himself? I dont think so.

1. So just because "as of late" sledgehammer attacks have been sold high, I'm suppose to forget what it's done before?

2. Correct me if I'm wrong, which I don't think I am, but last weeks tapping was doubled with this weeks tapping, so that means that two weeks ago tapping were doubled with 3 weeks before. So last week/this week= same tapping, and two weeks ago/three weeks ago= same tapping. So unless the people that were chanting MVP last week went to the tapping that were three weeks ago, then I'd believe it was the same people. And I doubt that every time a MVP chant breaks out, it's because of smarks. There's a reason they cheer for him, A. They're smarks B. They like him/want him to win. Just because fans cheer for a heel, I wasn't aware they were all smarks. I suppose all the cheers for Orton are from smarks, that all the boos for Cena are from smarks.

3. I said he shouldn't have had help winning his 1st match. Thus the reason I said he shouldn't beat Big Show. I said there are way's he could have won without Triple H, didn't say that he should have. And your comparing a single one-on-one match to a Last Man Standing match, a match that has rules to a match that doesn't,its anything goes, unless you make a rule which Vickie did by banning Triple H from ringside. So technically (in my eyes anyway) any finish in a LMS match is a clean one.

If MVP does win a major title in the next 4-5 months or longer even, trust me, it would not be the first time a title changed hands that quickly. Remember Orton (though a brief stint), HBK (screw job), SCSA (shock of the world at his time at the Royal Rumble and there after), and now MVP. Again, they have worked with him on his ring skills and with his mic skills etc., but they tried the same with the above mentioned guys and as with them, so shall it be with MVP.

It is just a matter of time and it is also his time and after his trial by fire, he deserves it. It is not like he is being handed a major role/title in a short period of time. He worked for months for this chance and knowing WWE, they might even pull an angle our of their butts that occurred during that time to explain why he should get or even win the title.

Since HHH first started using the hammer, the majority of times it has been the final blow of the match, beyond that as you know at the smarter end of the fan spectrum you are required to suspend disbelief a little... I mean if you beat someone up with a sledgehammer in real life, they may never be the same again and certainly may never recover to continue to be a competetive athlete. If anything, my issue with HHH adopting the hammer all those years ago was that whilst it looks BAAADASS it was maybe a little too much.... We're talking GBH here within a 'sport'.

2. Correct me if I'm wrong, which I don't think I am, but last weeks tapping was doubled with this weeks tapping, so that means that two weeks ago tapping were doubled with 3 weeks before. As I stated asomewhere above.... You can clearly hear that the MVP chants are from the older male demographic and the same demographic has at time been cheering MVP for well over six months, most of shich he was a straigh-up heel.... Add the two points together = SMARK.

In response to CMS's wondering if he's gonna get over as a face and how they can keep him heel... It needn't be too dissimilar to when Rock sided with Vince at SS98.... Vritually the whole crowd wanted him to turn fully-fledged face and to put it into Raven's words.... "He showed his ass and did something so dispicable that the crowd couldn't help but hate him".

I doubt it's the case, but one way could be to reveal him as Jeffs attacker; justifying his actions by saying that Jeff (a relative newbie to SD) was getting all the chances that in fact should have gone to him... We've already seen MVP complaining on PPV that he wasn't on the card.... It would make sense and would work. A combination of jealousy and treatchery will get you over as a heel, no probs (Please, no-one tell me that It's Christians spot... It's only an example).

(@ JBones... Don't take it personally.... It's only a debate.... Some do it, some don't.... CMS & I do... I guess at time we just share a similar viewpoint, that's all.)
