I still don't understand how the Giant won via DQ

Because Hogan didn’t want to do the job so first he couldn’t just let the giant beat him. Secondly, he wouldn’t let the heels just cheat to beat him and thirdly He wouldn’t even let himself somehow lose by disqualification where it even made sense. And fourthly he won’t even let them change the title on the pay-per-view so they have to come up with a creative way of changing the rules post Hawk which we’ll see later.
