I never pictured myself ever saying this, but for the first time EVER as a long time TNA fan, I just don't care about the product. I want TNA to succeed more than anyone, but for some reason they just aren't interesting right now. There are 3 major reasons for this, I'll go over them one by one.

MEM vs Frontline: This feud started out HOT. It got everyone hooked, and the ratings even broke the 1.1 barrier that TNA was stuck on. But look at it now? It isn't the young vs the old anymore. Its old and present vs the old, its turned what could have been a perfect way to put over the young stars in the company to just another stable vs stable feud. Not to mention, the Main Event Mafia has dominated FROM DAY ONE. They are booked to look flawless, so why should we even get behind the Frontline? TNA basically ruined what could have been an amazing feud, instead of teaming up The Motor City Machine Guns, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels to make the ultimate young lions group. We get a mix of old guys with Joe and AJ, so it completely ruins the main purpose of the feud. What is supposed to be the main part of the current TNA product, the main reason why you should all watch is now nothing more than a regular feud that won't do anything to put the young guys over. As of right now, the only people that are gaining anything from this feud are the Main Event Mafia. That is unacceptable.

TNA iMPACT!: Every Thursday night I used to be excited for iMPACT! I'd spam up the shoutbox telling everyone to go to Spike TV at 9PM and watch the show. But now, what exactly is there to look forward to? I tried to defend TNA when it comes to the lack of wrestling on their show, but its gotten to the point where I just can't do it anymore. There was 8 minutes of wrestling on the first hour of this week's iMPACT! 8 FUCKING MINUTES!! The claim that TNA has more wrestling than WWE now is obsolete, done, over, not credible! TNA has the best roster in north america, but they're stuck doing promos with butternut Borash. WHY? Please justify this for me, I would love to know. I just don't understand the logic behind 30 minutes strait of promos and backstage interviews. 4 matches in two hours doesn't make me happy either. The fact is, I'm not asking for TNA to turn into ROH, but please give us some more wrestling. You have tons of talent on your roster, USE IT. Storytelling is great, but when most of your TV show is dedicated to it then you have a problem. They need to go back to the basics, I want iMPACT! to be like Smackdown! Simplify the product, give us more wrestling. You have your 2 hours, now please show us WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH IT.

The Knockouts division: Why the hell is TNA pushing Christy Hemme? She's nothing more than a WWE Diva Search cast off who can't go in the ring. If you're looking for a replacement for Gail Kim, then hire someone like Sara Del Ray, have her completely destroy Christy and rise up through the ranks of the KO division. She'll actually look like a credible challenger for Kong's title. If you can't get her, then try using what you already have! Roxxi sacrificed so much for TNA, but it seems like TNA refuses to believe that she even exists. Why don't you give her a push? Let her challenge Kong, maybe even have a no DQ match between the two? That would be awesome. TNA needs to show that their Knockouts division is different than the divas, pushing Christy Hemme does not do that.

Those are 3 major things that are pissing me off about TNA right now. The PPVs are decent, mainly because when you give the talent this company has some time to go in the ring, you can't go wrong. I just feel like they have so much potential, but it never seems to work. Of course I'm going to keep watching TNA and maybe they'll prove me, and everyone else wrong by turning the product around in a short period of time. Thats fine, I hope it happens. But until then, I'm not happy with that they're giving me every week and I demand change.

TNA's terrible, when TNA first got their contract on spike i was on and everyone was starting the bandwagon jump to TNA and even i hopped on that bandwagon but quickly jumped off noticing how stale and boring the brand actually is. Just attacking the basics the production of it is sore for the eyes the ring is stupid as hell and it brings a really indy newbish feel to it I never thought this would actually get off it's feet.

And it really hasn't, how many years later since the one hour deal with spike and it's still the exact same cheap boring ass company it's always been.

oh and for the record, Lance Storm has been nitpicking and making jokes of TNA since it's debut on TV. If someone as bland and boring as Storm can find something every show to shit on you about, and for doing it as consistenetly as Storm does without himself realizing how bland and boring he's become is really bad. Like shitstorm bad. Tna is a shit storm and it's making WWE look like a utopia and like WWE looked like it was a shittyphoon until TNA came out

TNA will continue to be garbage as long as people continue to watch it, the storylines are boring, the commentators suck, the promos are immature and annoying. The show right now is hard to even watch even when there is NOTHING else to do, hell I would rather read than watch that garbage

Of all the people who are WWE cast offs, she's the one that bothers you? Scott Steiner being pushed more than almost everyone doesn't bother you at all? I understand Roxxi needs to be pushed, and I agree, but you can't take it out on who is getting that push already. And how is her getting pushed the only comparison to the WWE divas? Hello, the Beautiful People! I know they are made to be a mock of Divas in a way, but they are (well, they were) too serious just to be a mock and they because the actual thing. And as long as Kong and ODB are there, no matter who's in the main event, they will always be apart from the Divsa.

^ I talked about guys like Steiner and Nash getting pushes already when I mentioned that the Main Event Mafia continues to dominate. The Frontline has zero momentum right now.

And Christy Hemme...are you kidding me? I don't know about you, but I'm not ready to believe that someone who was on a year long losing streak can train for 6 months and all of a sudden be good enough to challenge Kong. The Beautiful People aren't even serious wrestlers anymore. As far as I'm concerned, they're just used as a cheap way to pop the rating going into an important segment

I am just watching last weeks iMPACT!

I am watching with someone who's never seen iMPACT! or TNA or much of WWE before, and here's his opinion:
"At first it seemed promising, if a little cheesy, but the opening with Mick Foley seemed to go on forever, then the rest seemed to drag on and simply make no sense. I've barely watched even a few episodes of WWE, let alone TNA but this was bullshit. Where was the wrestling? I've watched 85 minutes and only 11 minutes (or so it feels like) have been actual WRESTLING."

Okay, I swear to God that's a comment from a "new-to-wrestling" fan.

And here's a a comment from someone who has watched wrestling for several years and has a solid knowledge and enthusiasm of the stuff yet has never posted on a forum or anything like that:

"Erm, watching this particular episode of TNA, has reinstated my belief that TNA is nothing more than a poorly written, poorly produced example of competition to WWE. The wrestling, that was available, was simply rushed, lacked any momentum, built NO suspense, and pailed in comparison to WWE weekly progamming. The majority of the programme consisted of irrelevant promos, advertisments ("Cross the Line"), AND directed much of the attention from the already mediocre wrestling. Frankly, I don't think VKM has much to worry about. Lastly, let's admit the skits, and backstage scenarios are terribly acted, are irreverent and supply no foundation to a good professional wrestling program.

And Lord knows, here's another comment from my "non-wrestling-fan friend:

"Is that ODB a man?"

Okay, so there's comments which aren't actually from myself but actually reflect my views as a fan of professional wrestling fan since 97'. Does it put into place what TNA are doing?

chessarmy, it seems you've come to see what's going wrong with TNA and why many, upon MANY people resent It's nonsensical skits, programs and storylines.

I'll say now, the three of us who have made comments in this post are fairly drunk and I'm fucking amazed I can spell on the internet so well, despite a few beers in me.

TNA is awful at the moment, it's that awful I don't even have the energy to rant about it.

If TNA is so awful then how come more and more people are watching it as Ratings continue to climb,...They have fresh new charachters,...Granted The Sarah Palin thing is over done but I feel it's kind of harsh refering to it as garbage.

Umm....the ratings haven't climbed at all. They're usually between .9 and 1.2....and not in a rising pattern.

Well, TNA has actually had their highest ratings ever a couple times a few weeks back. I want to say before Xmas. So technically the rating are slowly increasing...just not reflecting much within the 1.1 to 1.2.

I have actually gone off TNA! I used to watch the full two hours and look forward to doing so. Then it almost became a chore and I would watch solely for the Knockouts division. Then the Knockouts division kind of died, roundabout the same time Gail Kim left! Now I won't go out of my way to watch iMPACT but if its the only thing on, I will watch it!

I love how just a couple weeks back you were having a fit when Rell was ranting on this stuff, and now you finally go with it. Nice.

^ I never knew TNA would continue to piss me off consistently which is why I finally cracked. I still have some hope that they can improve, we'll see what happens on tonight's iMPACT!

Wow! Your post is very exciting! So much fun! Woo!

Yeah, TNA is sucking a big one right now. They try to overly-complicate everything. They don't have a huge, loyal audience, and therefore they shouldn't be taking huge risks. They need to settle down and book a simple, traditional show centered around wrestling.
