Believe it or not, there are two different WWE Championship belts currently being used. The nicer belt used for SmackDown and pay-per-view events is brought in to the show and kept in top condition locked inside a case during the week. The belt that the title holder, currently Jeff Hardy, carries on the road with him has the diamonds covered in Plexiglas

It sounds logic though.

Thank you. Damn, people. Everything is not drug related. This is an insurance policy if say, the champion's luggage was lost. They still have the more valuable belt and the hamp still has one for autograph signings and what-not.

In all seriousness though, they don't trust Jeff Hardy, his contract clauses don't have him sealed to the company... he might show up in TNA with the WWE Championship.. >_>
