William Regal/CM Punk

They have been teasing this for a while and now its gonna happen after CM Punk defeated Rey Mysterio in the final of the IC title tournament. William Regal first met CM Punk in the final of the KOTR, Regal won that but was then "fired" from RAW. He came back and made a few teases to a feud with Punk after winning the IC title so their is alot at stake for both men when the face off. It could be a good feud and they have the story their with Punk wanting the IC title and to get revenge after Regal won KOTR from him and the matches they have could also be quite good. So, how do you think this will turn out? What are your thoughts?

It could be a good feud, assuming they don't just have the match at Raw tomorrow and waste what could be a nice little feud, which should climax at the Royal Rumble. There's been a bit of history between the two, and this should be an alright feud.

I can't really predict the outcome of Punk vs. Regal on the Christmas special. CM Punk was really good in his match with Morrison in the Quarter Finals on RAW, his match with Mysterio was pretty decent as well.

As for the championship, Punk is obviously going to defeat William Regal and win the Intercontinental Championship, I hope to see some other good matches involving CM Punk.

Punk will win, and I have a bad feeling it'll just be on Raw tomorrow.

Would they really have Regal lose in his first title defense when he's the one supposedly to bring prestige back to the title (kayfaybe)...?

I think Punk will get screwed.

Yeah, Regal will win their first match, mostly likely because of Layla, but Punk will win the fued, with is unfortunate, cos it's about time that Regal actually was able to hold a decent title run.

Regal is perfect for the role he's been booked in of late... Almost like a member of a wrestling aristocracy (claiming he's) representing the more dignified days of old.

Long may it continue.

(Afterall, an IC win wouldn't be that big a deal for Punk after holding the world title earlier this year.... We've got a baby-face world champ on Raw so let Regal go to town!)



I tell ya what would be sweet is if eventually they have Bourne win the belt from Regal (after so many have failed) when he returns... This would push him waaaay over!

Then after that Punk will probably take a diva like Kelly Kelly and mediate any interferences.

Hopefully this turns out to be a decent fued between Regal and Punk, I'm definitely expecting a technical wrestling fued between the both of them. Just by Kofi and Punk losing to Miz and Morrison at a house show already gives away the fact that Punk is gonna be IC Champ.

Punk really needs this opportunity ever since he fell out of the ME scene.
