Looks like MVP is ready for the Main Event.

Watched Raw this past week for the first time in ages. The heat MVP got was AMAZING. Sure he was pulling the oldest trick in the book, but the way he did it made you just want to spit on him. Once he gets a big feud from this losing streak, they are making a storyline out of, he deserves a push.

So I ask, do you think he is ready for the main event? How good is he in ring and out of the ring, in your opinion?

He should probably jump to RAW because MVP is extremely talented, his push is long due as well. It isn't his fault for being involved in this loosing storyline. But that doesn't necessarily mean he's lost his future. MVP's gonna get the major push that he deserves in the coming months IF they move him onto RAW. Considering all the other superstars who highlight Smackdown, I don't see MVP being the top star of the brand anytime soon.

I think moving him to Raw would not hurt him, but there is no need. He has a push, has a feud with Taker, finally ending the losing streak, wins MITB, and cashes it in against Jeff Hardy at around say, Night of Champs, winning it, having a short run before losing it back to Hardy, and then he moves to Raw to get a bigger push again, thus having feuds with the likes of Shawn Michaels, if Michaels goes that far.

This thread would have been better if you created it about 6 months ago. Look at MVP now, he's jobbing like there's no tomorrow. A main event run for him is out of the question at this point

^ But the casual fans may not realise that. Put MVP up against Taker and they'll all be like, 'hey, that's the guy who just lost 888 times, screw him' and they tune out. And if he actually wins the feud then they riot.

In another place I gave my view on what should happen. MVP should snap, having enough of lkosing and say he is going to somewhere where he can finally get back to his old self. Next week, he appears on ECW, and attacks Matt Hardy. Teddy Long says that he can't just waltz in to his brand and attack his champ so he makes him fight Finlay at the Rumble. If he wins he gets a shot at Hardy. MVP and Finlay feud starts, with Finlay costing him losses for a few weeks. MVP finally wins after some good old fashioned heelcheating after a ref bump at the Rumble against Finlay. Feud with Hardy, and MVP loses the title match at NWOP, while still looking strong. Next week, MVP beats Hardy in a non title MITB qualifier, and goes on to win the briefcase at WM25. He resumes a brief feud with Hardy and has a match like Shelton/RVD did where both the title and the briefcase are on the line. He has a little run with the ECW Championship and around draft time he gets sent to most likely Raw and has to vacate, but still is MITB. This would help him get back up the card and would be believable as well imho.

I do agree with the storyline.

However, and once again, you are understimating the casual fan. The only difference between me, you and a casual fan is that I go to the internet and read news that most of the time turn out to be fake.

Sure, some of the casual fans will think that, but dont you think the rest will do just what we do, and remember MVP being US champion for almost a year.

Oh, and trust me, this is coming from someone whose friends who watch wrestling are all casual fans. They don't see MVP situation as a situation of he being a bad wrestler of him sucking, but they see it comical.

Just make him snap and he's back on track.

Hell, book a high profile match, let' say MVP vs Matt Hardy non title, and have MVP win ending his streak, and since he won a high profile match, a large portion of credibility return.

I like the snapping idea/storyline, but hasn't enough people snapped on smackdown. Edge snapped when he was fueding with Taker earlier this year, attached Foley, and flipped Vicki out her wheel chair. You have the new Jeff went on his crazy streak recently going extreme on guys , and using the face paint stuff cutting promo's. The countless times Kane has snapped maybe twice this year. So to me the MVP snapping would be a good idea but done too many times this year, on smackdown alone. Him winning the MitB match would be good but something else, something new needs to happen besides him snapping to get there and get credible again.
