Not big of a deal really, but am I the only one that has noticed that on every PPV since Unforgiven, Chris Jericho ends up busted open somehow?

At Unforgiven he ended with a nasty gash on his right elbow.

At NM he lost a tooth.

And on the rest of the main events, he ends with a little cut on his face, either near his hairline or above his right eyebrow.

It's called blading CMS, it's called blading.

You do have a point though. Maybe he just wants to be taken more seriously? Seen as a much more hardnut heel?

It's good that he's getting stiffed. Shows that he has balls.

Yeah Jericho needed to stop the cheating or at least slow it down. He is simply to good in the ring to not be winning cleanly as a heel, sames goes for orton, but i will leave it at that.

Ha, ya, I noticed that.
Not much to say though really in a reply, but I did notice it, and it's een a while since someone got stiffed as frequent as him.

Nah it isn't. Altough it isnt that brutal to be called "busted open the hard way", it indeed happens the hard way.

It used to be him stiffing other people if I recall. He blatant stiffed Michael's wife with the pulled punch that he didn't pull enough

^ it was an accident.

I feel for Jericho, people need to calm down on the guy. WWE wants a low risk style offense, but a stiff match. That doesn't make sense at all, they should go all out but not stiff each other. Either way, someone remind the guys in the locker room that you're not supposed to actually hurt each other

Stiff matches make the best matches. All adds to the suspension of disbelief element. That's why so many people rate Bryan Danielson for example.

He's one of the few guys still willing to get busted open. It seems to be only the older guys who are willing lately...Jericho, HBK, HHH. It does add a nice realness factor to the match. Just so long as the guys aren't in there blatantly beating the shit out of each other and it's a mutual decision it's cool with me. Honestly the stiffest match I've seen in a while was Finlay/Morrison. Take a look back at that...there was some serious impact on some of those shots.

I like when Jericho is a heel, but they have to stop with the "The Fans are useless" gimmick because it's been a year since the return. IT made no sense to become a major heel so quickly anyways.

I think they do it to make the match look more real.

Jericho vs HBK was truly stiff. On their LMS on RAW they went soft on each other, but their Unsanctioned and Ladder Match was as stiff as it gets. Belt whips usually LOOK way too fake, as they clearly are aimed to the canvas and not to the back, but when HBK delivered them at Unforgiven, well, we just needed to see the back of Y2J the next day.

He then lost a damn tooth.

On another note, the last REAL blading I have seen was Batista on the 800th show.

Quick question: what the fuck does that have to do with the topic?

Meh, I hadn't noticed it. I don't think it's a big deal in the least.

Well to be fair it is a little hard to go out there like "I'm gonna kill this motherfucker" and still protect them and be safe in the ring. Accidents happen and people get a little too intense. In fact I think the whole safer style has actually hurt them in the long run since alot more people are getting injured with the "safer" style. I'm thinking this might be due to the fact that people aren't able to take harder bumps without injuring themselves. I mean look at the matches Jimmy Jacobs had with BJ Whitmer and Austin Aries, those were fucking brutal but everybody walked away.

I hate blading, cant beat the good old fashion "Knuckles above the eye brow" trick, painfull yet convincing.
