We've heard it all before, all the stories about Kurt Angle getting more and more interested in MMA. After I watched the "Kurt Angle: Champion" DVD that I bought a few days ago, all the rumors of Angle in MMA were talked about. Angle said that he approached the UFC president (Dana White, hope I spelled that right lol) and White demanded that he leave wrestling, if he doesn't, then White won't sign him to a UFC contract. Angle then said that he would be willing to leave wrestling but he didn't want to turn his back on Dixie and Jarrett after they were so nice to him. My point is, Angle's contract is coming up at the end of 2009 and after all this interest Angle has shown towards MMA, do you think he won't resign with TNA and head over to the UFC? It seems like thats the direction he's taking, but for his own health and well being I really hope it isn't.

Another possibility could be his return to WWE. Its obvious that Kurt isn't talking smack to Vince anymore. This goes back to the Kurt Angle DVD again, he even apologized for what he said to Vince and it seems like he doesn't have hard feelings anymore even though he claims they still left on bad terms. My point is, with Kurt not publicly bashing Vince anymore is he wanting to go back to WWE? And will he end up there by the time his contract expires?

And finally, a choice that I hope he makes, sticking with TNA. Kurt's body isn't in a good enough condition for MMA and he's too old for it, he doesn't have a bright future in the WWE and I don't think he can have great matches with that many people on the roster, so resigning with TNA seems like the right choice. He can continue to put on awesome matches with guys like AJ, Joe, Jarrett, Abyss and so on. And who knows? Maybe Angle will make another stop in the X-Division?

So, what do you think will happen to Kurt Angle by the end of next year? I know its a long time from now but with 2008 slowly coming to an end, I was wondering if 2009 could very well be Angle's final year in TNA.

There is a huge chance Kurt won't stay in TNA with all the rumors around. However, it's still a possibility. He won't go to WWE that's for sure, I highly doubt that. The whole Kurt Angle MMA thing is going to bomb for sure. He just wants to be like Brock. Kurt could make big dollars and not have to travel that much in UFC like he does for pro wrestling. However, I don't think Dana White could withstand his ego.

This is all I have to say about Angle...if he went to UFC or any other fighting company...he probably wouldn't win 1 fight.

But I think he'll retire before the end of 2009

it would be smart for kurt angle to return to WWE...(he could give ufc a try-out)

Of course he will be in the gutter with some booking.. but then again he shouldn't of be bad mouthing vince/wwe in his TNA stint...(But we all know pretty soon, Angle will have almost feuded with every top talent in tna)

Kurt shouldn't return WWE. Yeah, he's kinda missed, but he would only be there as a midcarder or take a spot from a young main eventer (see less chances for Y2J to main event, and depush CM Punk and Hardy a little more).

So no. Go to UFC, get your ass kicked, and then return to TNA.

This would have been a good decision for Kurt Angle...in 1999. Now his body is so fucked up from wrestling and painkillers that from a health standpoint it's a bad idea.

Kurt angle could be the ECW wrestler to bring up youth pontental talent.. i.e. what they were going do with benoit

WWE: I don't think his body could cope with the rigors of the road in WWE. I mean, you're on the road for like 300 days. It's alot less in TNA. Obviously, Kurt knows his body better then me on what it can and can't do, but with all his injury stuff to his neck, it wouldn't be the smartest. Besides, he's getting used in TNA, great exposure and I would guess a fair bit of money as well.

TNA: Best to stay here. Kurt isn't nearly on the road as much as WWE, and they take care of him well I would guess. They can use him in a non wrestling role for a touch, and he is still a great wrestler. Top 10 Northern American workers still.

UFC: No. Just no. Don't even try it. Lesnar didn't have any major injuries when he gave it a go. One hits you in the neck Kurt, and you are fucked. The cons far outweigh the pros on this one.

Angle is more talented than Punk & Hardy, plus him and Jericho are even in my book.

Angle is to old and banged up for MMA. He'd get flattened.

But Punk and Hardy are the future. If anything, Kurt has 1 or 2 years left.

As long as someone can put on good matches, I don't see why Punk and Hardy have to Main Event right now. Give them time to stay in the mid-card and hone their skills to a higher level, then put them in the Main Event when the slot opens up.

Exactly, that's my point. CM Punk and Hardy already find it hard to main event. Put a Kurt Angle in front of them and it becomes a shit load harder.

Both are young, and what you said is true, Angle only has a year or two left. Why not utilise the year or two of good matches Angle has left, since Punk and Hardy still have many years to come in the WWE.

Kurt Angle's body is knackered which is why I never see him return to WWE. If the guy was more healthy I'd love to see it, the best thing for him and everyone else is if he stays with TNA. Lighter schedule, guaranteed main event spot, good pay etc.

And UFC? Don't make me laugh.
